Runescape: Grand Exchange Overview
Dec 31st
MMORPG.com Runescape Correspondent Fasail Baig writes this look at the Grand Exchange, a new buying and selling feature in the game.
Are you a merchant that is tired of typing: "selling (item name)" 500 times over just to sell an item? Do you think world switching several times over to find a buyer is ridiculus? Try a new update to Runescape, the Grand Exchange. The Runescape Grand Exchange is a great way of making some quick and easy cash. It is a very useful new aspect of the game, and it helps traders and merchants greatly, as it speeds up the buying and selling world. Instead of trying to find a buyer/seller at a bank or populated are, you simply put in a buy order and as soon as one becomes available for the price you set, you will have it!

"Ten Ton Hammer: Conan comics and games have seen a great resurgence in recent years, is this what lead to the property now being re-introduced on film?
Fredrik Malmberg: In part, yes. Although Conan is such an iconic character it was more a matter of time before it would be back on the big screen, I think the comeback in comics, videogames and collectibles proves to the film community that we (Paradox) know what makes fans tick about the character and they now listen to us more…"

The Agency: Day in the Life of an Agency Intern
Dec 31st
Over the last few months, we have been tracking the progress of Julia Brasil, an intern on SOE’s The Agency. Today, we wrap up the ongoing feature witha small interview with the game’s Producer, Sherry Floyd about the intern experience.
MMORPG.com:
What was your first thought when told that Julia had chosen to intern at SoE Seattle?
Sherry Floyd:
Well, I was out of town the day she arrived and found out that afternoon via email from Sarah Airington (one of our very talented environment artists) that Julia was here and we had full access to her as a resource. I arrived the next day at work and met with Julia; we sat down and reviewed her work as well as her goals for the internship. I was floored by her openness, fantastic attitude and willingness to "get into the trenches". I immediately saw many opportunities for her to contribute to the game at a very high level.

The Agency: A Day in the Life of an Agency Intern, 4
Dec 30th
When she originally won an internship at SOE’s The Agency through the Gamers in Real Life program, Julia Brasil had no idea that MMORPG.com would be tracking her progress, but that’s exactly what our own Carolyn Koh is doing, checking in with the new developer on a regular basis. Today is part four.
MMORPG.com:
What did you think this internship would encompass before you started working for SOE Seattle?
Julia Brasil:
To be honest, I had heard plenty of stories from colleagues about their internships, a few of which were quite intimidating. Some joked that they did little more than babysit computers and refill staplers. So when I started as an intern I expected to be doing small errands around the studio or watching over the shoulders of the real professionals as they went about their work.

Final Fantasy XI: Is Simpler Always Better?
Dec 29th
MMORPG.com Correspondent Hebie Grate writes this article discussing recent changes to Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XI making it more accessible and less difficult.
Many reviews over the years have often described FFXI as “hardcore” or “time consuming.” Whether they are professional or amateur reviews, the consensus seems to be the same; Final Fantasy XI is demanding. Many players, even I on occasion, view this as a good thing. It is, after all, the FFXI tradition, and gives an individual a great sense of accomplishment upon achieving some sort of goal. Others would disagree, asserting that many in the gaming community are casual gamers, and often cite statistics that show players only sign on for a few hours a day. Regardless, things are changing in Vana’diel.

Final Fantasy XI: A Look at the Thief
Dec 26th
MMORPG.com Final Fantasy XI Correspondent Wesley Bond writes this overview of the Theif career in Final Fantasy XI.
To steal or not to steal, that is the question. Thief is a class you are able to play from the start and do not have to unlock to play. The Thief is a very utilitarian job in the game of Final Fantasy XI and is handy both as a main and as a subjob. It can be used effectively in full parties, small parties and solo play. The role of a Thief in parties may be a lot different than you might think. For those that haven’t played you may think about stealing, for those with little experience with Thief you may think damage dealing but Thief is more than the sum of its parts, it’s about control. Thief gives you some nice options when facing down monsters that can really keep things humming in a group or give you the option to leave the situation in solo. Evasion and Agility are your friend and when others rely on heavy armor, you will really on speed and dodging incoming attacks.
So what does this job do?

Die Ziegenjagd der Saison - UPDATE Alle Ziegen wurden erschlagen – Hyborian Adventures
Dec 23rd

/>
Players will have to hunt and kill a certain mountain goat we will have spawned. The exact location where this specific goat can be found will be told in form of riddles which we will post here on the community portals. The location of the mountain goat will be different on each server to make it a bit more challenging.
Keep an eye out on the Season Event entries on the portal at 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th and 31st of December. These will be the dates the competition will be held.
The event will run exactly once on each of the servers during the whole period of the competition (one single time on only one of the the 5 days mentioned above) so make sure you don’t miss the one running on yours.
