EverQuest II: Lavastorm Quest Changes
Mar 4th
The folks at EverQuest II are advising players of upcoming changes to Lavastorm which will make some writ quests obsolete.
Almost all of the mobs in the zone have undergone a change in level. As a result of this 40+ Writ quests that previously sent you into Lavastorm needed to be adjusted, too. It can be frustrating and misleading to be offered a quest that is level 41, and then find out that the target you must defeat is level 46! (I don’t like it and I bet you don’t either.) A few only required slight level changes to match the level of the beasts you must kill for that quest. Others needed to be completely reworked due to the lack of level 40-44 mobs in the zone. The majority of those writs will now send you into Everfrost.
I wanted to inform you of this upcoming change and encourage everyone to complete any Lavastorm writs that they may have before Elements of Corruption (GU51) hits Live servers."

Runescape: Agility Overview
Mar 4th
MMORPG.com Runescape Correspondent Faisal Baig writes this article outlining the Agility skill in the popular old-school MMO.
Many people play RuneScape without actually realizing all that you can do in it. The first step is to learn about all of the different skills you can train and practice. Many of the skills will help you have a bigger range of ways to make money. Each time you practice a skill you will gain experience or p and when you reach a certain amount of experience, you’ll gain a level in that skill. The total amount of experience required to obtain the next level is the same for each skill, for the most part. The problem many encounter is that there aren’t any fun skills in non-members worlds, but rather in members. You can get past this problem if you learn to utilize the skills in the right way. The best way to start is by finding out what each skill’s primary role is! For my next few articles, I will be going in depth on all or most of the skills.

Dofus: Farming Guide
Mar 4th
MMORPG.com Dofus Correspondent Christy Bazell writes this quick guide for farming in the Ankama MMO.
So you have created a character only to notice that you can’t afford to buy gear, a pet, a house or even bread. What can I do, you ask?
Well farming is a good start.
Farming is one of the few professions that you can level to 100 in without spending any kama. You will also have a number of ways to make kama: selling your cereal, flour, oil and seeds. Or, you can form a great combination of professions as farmer/baker. Create flour and then use it to make bread to sell to other players. This has kama kama kama written all over it……

Interview with the Game Director - Part I – Hyborian Adventures

IGN spoke with Game Director Craig Morrison about the past, present and future of Age of Conan. Part 1 of this ’Status Interview’ can now be found on IGN.com.

Jonric: Since we know Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures has had issues, how did you identify the key ones, and what are the main improvements, additions and fixes you’ve implemented since launch?
Craig Morrison: The first thing we approached was the players’ feedback itself. The aspects they found unsatisfying were pretty well defined by their comments after launch. People had issues with four main areas – the game’s performance, the gaps in quest content, the fact that the PvP lacked a focus, and finally, there was a general feeling that the items and statistics weren’t deep enough. I don’t think our internal analysis differed that much from what those who were playing told us, so the decision as to where we should focus was relatively easy.
