Final Fantasy XI: Friendlier Than Ever
May 28th
MMORPG.com Correspondent Cody Worth recently explored the world of SquareEnix’s Final Fantasy XI and found it "Friendlier Than Ever." For a game that carries a pretty hardcore reputation, Worth reports back that it is not quite as difficult as it used to be.
Square Enix has been paying attention to the recent changes in the MMO market, and they’ve begun implementing changes that is making FFXI a friendlier game for all types of players. For starters, last September, a patch was released. This patch sported a nice addition to FFXI – an experience bonus on lower level monsters. Easy Prey and Decent Challenges gave up to 30 and 50 experience points respectively. With this new patch, you can gain up to 50 on Easy Prey, and a whopping 90 on Decent Challenges. The speed in which you can kill these monsters allows for much faster solo leveling. This was a good enough update alone. Players were content with the bonus to experience, and that’s when Square Enix released Level Sync.

Lineage 2: Elven Temple Knight
May 26th
An MMORPG.com Correspondent provides today’s overview of the Elven Temple Knight in Lineage II. Find out of if this class is worth a try and how to play it at pique efficiency.
The Temple Knight has some really impressive skills such as cubics. Cubics are summons that flow above your head and provide you with bonuses. The Temple Knight has two of them: the life cubic and the storm cubic. The first one serves as a small healer, and is very useful when playing solo. However, when playing in a big group (taking some epic bosses, large-scale PvP like sieges etc.) it is not a factor at all. It’s also quite costly.
The other cubic is called the storm cubic. It’s actually a small damage dealer. Like the previously mentioned life cubic, its main use is when you are soloing. In a large-scale PvP, raiding it’s quite useless because every damage dealer would deal more damage than this thing above your head. Temple Knight also has a skill, which makes fighting undead easier (Holy aura).

Runescape: Missing My Mummy
May 26th
The folks at Runescape have posted an inside look at one of the game’s quest chains.
There are many secrets hidden in the depths of the desert. Forgotten tombs of forgotten rulers from a forgotten time, when the world was a very different place…or at least they were forgotten. The spread of human civilisation, however, means that many of the hidden corners of the world are being uncovered, often by treasure-hunters with little regard for preserving the sanctity of these ancient places.
Recently, one such tomb, near Uzer, was discovered by treasure-hunters. Leela of Al Kharid does care about the sanctity of this particular place, and she wants your help to recover information that is of great importance to her.

The Agency: Hal Milton Interview
May 26th
MMORPG.com spoke to The Agency Lead Designer Hal Milton about the game’s progress, balancing console/PC crowd, the game’s UI and much more.
Another focus has been their player vs. player (PvP) game. In The Agency, all their worlds – or servers – feed into the same PvP environment, which indicates a more firmly segregated form of PvP than a lot of other recent and upcoming games have boasted.
One of the most fascinating aspects of The Agency, though, is their complete and total disregard for individual genres. They’re not afraid to introduce elements that they think will work, even if they’re far afield of what is expected in this genre.
A good example of this is their Operative System.
“Operatives are collectible characters in the world that based on how you play and what kind of agent you’ve created you’ll be able to have access to different ones,” explained Milton.

Fighter’s Club – Fighting Game MMORPG
May 26th
Fighter’s club is a PVP based MMORPG developed by South Korean based game developer KOG Studios. Developing fighting game is their specialty since Grand Chase MMORPG is one of their well known project.
As seen on the video preview of Fighter’s Club, you can say that it’s a mish mash of Fight Club movie, Grand Theft Auto, king of fighters and all out brawlfest. Even the surrounding objects weren’t spared from constant smashing and from being totally destroyed.
Players move around with 8 direction keyboard in a lush 3D environment. What’s really cool is that you can attack certain body parts of the opponent by selecting it. For the fighting style, you can use the directional buttons and the letter keys to execute combo. I can’t wait to try out the game since currently I’m playing the Grand Chase game.
