Cryptic’s Nicole Hamlett Interviewed

Gamasutra chats up Community Managers. So far they’ve featured 2K Games’ Elizabeth Tobey, Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer, and Bethesda Game Studios’ Matt Grandstaff. Today in the spotlight it’s Nicole Hamlett of Cryptic Studios. Age of Conan Roleplayers recently announced the relauch and revamp of their great site

One of our newest Bear Shaman Advocates who just so happens to be the site admin to AoC-RP.COM recently announced the new relaunch of this great gem that was the English RP Headquarters. Here is what Rykoth had to say about the new relaunch itself:

"Age of Conan Roleplayers (AoC-RP.com) as we all know, became inactive shortly after launch, due to the admin at the time abandoning the game and the site without warning. It left the owner no choice but to close it.
However, after much thought, and recent discussions about the state of the RP Community, and after talking with several other fellow RPers and Guild Leaders, I decided to try a project. Whether or not the project succeeds is not up to me, or those with me on the admin team, but to the roleplayers out there. Is AoC-RP.com the place for Cimmerian Roleplayers to hang out, chat, and relax, or is it to be left in the past?

Outer Rim Productions have released their much anticipated episode 2 of the Roleplayin’ series.

Runescape: Tools for Games Dev Diary

The folks at Runescape have posted a new developer diary which looks at developing tools for players to create their own games within the game.
There’s a slightly different update on the cards for the not-too-distant future. It won’t suit all of you, but, then, juggling all the different things RuneScape players like to do is always our biggest challenge. What it will do is make some little differences here and there, with new features that you can use in several ways that we’ve thought of…and hopefully a few we haven’t.
We know that to some of you, RuneScape is home to various pastimes that we didn’t really plan for you. Besides all of the quests, minigames and other features that the team has worked hard on over the years, Gielinor has plenty of room for you to organise scavenger hunts, races and all kinds of other activities, and we’ve seen that some of you like to do just that. Now, we’ve decided to set aside some time for a small update aimed at the players who come up with those activities.

Después de días de espera por fin el jurado de Funcom formado por los componentes del departamento de Marketing y Comunidad ha tomado una decisión en firme para escoger el video ganador del 1º Concurso de Eventos de Jugadores de Age of Conan y el 2º y 3º clasificados.

EverQuest II: Bonus XP in Old School Zones

SOE has announced that EverQuest II players will be able to earn bonus experience this weekend by playing in several of the zones which launched with the original release of EQII.
It’s a Hotzone weekend in some old-school zones!
Play with boosted XP all weekend long in some of the zones from the original EQII release!
Zones include: The Caves, Antonica, Sunken City, Commonlands, Nektulos Forest, Enchanted Lands, and Everfrost.

Alles neu macht der Mai! Getreu dem Motto haben wir das Grundgerüst unseres Podcasts überarbeitet, der Phoenix steigt aus der Asche der verbrannten Überreste als CROMCAST!
Von allem mehr, aber immer noch kein bisschen leise!
Damit der Podcast für euch nützlicher wird und euch Informationen liefert, die ihr sonst nicht in den offiziellen Neuigkeiten findet, haben wir den Podcast überarbeitet und in Zuge dessen auch gleich den Namen etwas eingängiger gestaltet.
Ab jetzt könnt ihr jeden zweiten Donnerstag dem CROMCAST lauschen, den wir besonders um Communitythemen erweitert haben. Folgende Hauptthemen werden ab jetzt ihren Platz in der Sendung finden.
Was euch in den Themen erwartet, könnt ihr euch heute im Podcast anhören! Sunrise-FM ist auch weiterhin unser zuhause und der Moderator Lenny wird uns durch den Podcast begleiten und uns zwischen den Themen Verschnaufpause geben, indem er euch mit guter Rockmusik versorgt.

Les admins débrouillards d’Hyborian Codex ont réussi a dégoter, via le forum TestLive, une interview exclusive avec le développeur en charge de l’artisanat.
Cette interview est entièrement consacrée à la refonte du système de gemmes qui arrivera avec la mise à jour 1.5.
Vous y trouverez des réponses à pas mal de questions laissées en suspend après la publication récente du dossier d’Hyborian Codex à ce sujet.
