Warhammer Online: WAR Mac® Client Launches Today!

We’re very pleased to announce the official North American WAR Mac client launch today! Check out the full press release here, or read on for the WAR Mac FAQ, which includes download and purchase information that will help get you started.
Q. Where do I download the Mac live game client?
A. You can download the Mac live game client right from our website! Like the Windows version, you’ll download a small installer that will allow you to patch the client. You can find it on our Downloads page.
Q. Do I need to be a subscriber to try out the Mac version of WAR?
A. Not at all! Anyone interested in trying out the Mac live game client can download the free trial, which is available on our trial page. Just follow the steps and you’re off!

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Jedi Knight to be Unveiled This Friday?

The folks at DarthHater have uncovered some pretty convincing evidence to support the claim that the Jedi Knight class will be next to be revealed, likely as this Friday’s update.
Star Wars: The Old Republic community sleuths have discovered a number of images depicting the Jedi Knight class, and today, the Jedi Knight HoloNet animation has also been revealed. I’m willing to bet this is no mind trick!

Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited: Update One Preview

MMORPG.com’s Jamie Skelton presents this first look at the first update for Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited, which launches today.
Scheduled to release on Wednesday, October 28th, Update One is the first major update To Dungeons and Dragons Online since Eberron Unlimited went live in September. Turbine has shifted away from calling these updates modules to simply referring to them as "updates," in an attempt to help distinguish between software changes and new features. Players will see smaller additions and changes to the game between each major update as well, so that new content can be constantly added to the game rather than spread out over longer spans.
The focus of this update is on high level players, and there are plenty of treats in store. One of these special treats is known as Veteran Status. Earned by characters who have garnered at least 1,000 favor, Veteran status allows players to start new characters who will enter the game at level four and begin their adventures in the Stormreach Marketplace, bypassing many of the early low-level quests – and yes, it is retroactive. Mir ist zu Ohren gekommen, dass Euer Erbe neuerdings auch eine Seite aus einem seltenen Folianten namens "Die lange Nacht der verlorenen Seelen" enthält. Das alte Pergament ist brüchig und löst sich vermutlich in Staub auf, wenn Ihr es nicht an Euch nehmt. Dies ist die beste Vorgehensweise.
Ich fürchte, die Warnung, die zu schreiben ich im Begriff bin, wird Eure Neugier nur bestärken, und doch: Nehmt diese Seite nicht an Euch. Sie birgt eine tödliche Gefahr! Es heißt, das Buch bringt jenen, die es lesen, schreckliches Leid. Schon ein einziges Wort setzt den Leser den rastlosen Toten und unheimlichen Wahrheiten aus, die besser in Vergessenheit bleiben sollten. Bitte, setzt Euch nicht einer noch größeren Gefahr aus.

MMORPG.com’s Josh Price takes continues this look at his early experiences playing a Ranger in NCsoft’s Aion.
Assuming that you’ve stuck with the class through its terrible teens, your ranger and you should be having a pretty swell time by 25 (though, in the grand scheme of things, this is still pretty early in the game). Here are some ideas of what’s to come or what you should already (maybe) have a pretty good idea about.
Obviously, at 20, you received your first stigma, Arrow Deluge, which leaves you with one stigma slot to go for now. The best option for this second slot is–yeah, you guessed it, Sleep Arrow. This stigma is pivotal in both PvE and small scale PvP (if it’s Zerg Vs Zerg like fortress battles, chances are it will just get broken). Here’s a decent tip: You can actually sleep an enemy without aggroing it, though it will still attack if you’re too close when the sleep wears off. In instances this is especially useful, since you can play hero and sleep a patrol before it comes within range of the group, making for a pretty neat little pause button on their path. Global Agenda rocks GameX in Philadelphia

In their round up of activity at GameX 2009 in Philadelphia, Oct. 22 – 25, PixalatedGeek.com gave Global Agenda “Game of the Show” honors, commenting:
The addiction of the convention and clear winner of Game of the Show in my mind was not from the industry juggernauts of Ubisoft, EA or Sega. No, the winner was Global Agenda from Hi-Rez Studios. Global Agenda is addicting, promising, fun, pulse-pounding and seems to being crafted by people with a passion for the game they are making. I’m going to give a detailed write-up on it very soon, so I’ll leave it at that for now. Watch this game, it is going to be epic, mark my words.
