EVE Online: CSM Interview – Dierdra Vaal
Oct 22nd
At MMORPG.com, we’ve talkeda lot about EVE Online’s Council of Stellar Management program that allows players to elect a board to consult with developers on the future of their game. Today, we start an interview series with the people on the council, putting faces to the program. We begin the series by talking to Dierdra Vaal, the program’s chairperson.
MMORPG.com:
What was the most exciting news at CCP’s Fan Fest?
Dierdra Vaal:
For me it was the new planet graphics. Sure Incarna, Dust and Dominion are cool, but we didn’t hear anything really new about them. We knew the planets would get new graphics but man, CCP really exceeded my expectations with them.

World of Warcraft: The Evolution of Raiding
Oct 22nd
MMORPG.com World of Warcraft Correspondent Siji Ibikunle wrties this look at the evolution of the raiding system in Blizzard’s hit game.
No matter what you think about World of Warcraft, few can deny that it is an immersive MMO experience that manages to cover the many aspects of the genre with a level of polish that one would be hard pressed to find elsewhere in one package. Whether you are into PVE, PVP, or RP, you can find it all in WoW at a level that few games are capable of reaching (although, some RPers would adamantly argue that the lack of a housing system is one of the great pitfalls of the game that is yet to be rectified). However, my favorite aspect of the game is PVE; and, further still, raiding. There is nothing like getting together with 9 or 24 guildies – or maybe even a PUG if you are desperate or not willing to be tied down – and downing the great, big baddies that the game has to offer.

Final Fantasy 13: New Characters, Save Data And More
Oct 22nd
IGNs Japanese correspondent John Tanaka brings us many new tidbits about Final Fantasy XIII, Versus 13 and other square projects. It turns out that the recently revealed character of Oerba Yun Fang was going to be a male. It was also stated they toned down the sex appeal of lead character lightening and moved it to Fang. This was done so that the players would have an easier time distinguishing between the two.
Square also revealed that a new character will be announced fairly soon. Although the name of character was not revealed it was hinted that Who is one character who always appears in final fantasy. This version of Cid will have a major role in the story!
They also discussed some system specifics. You will only ever seen a load screen once while playing Final Fantasy XIII. When switching between the town and the over world! Also they revealed that there will be no hard drive installation and save files will take up 500KBs.
There are lots of more information in Johns report. Click here to read up!

Mais segurança no site – notícias de RuneScape
Oct 22nd

EVE Online: Plans for the Future
Oct 21st
MMORPG.com’s Jon Wood outlines the many plans that the developers at CCP have for their sci-fi sandbox universe as EVE Online continues development both inside of the game client and out.
Over the last few weeks, we have touched on a number of elements of EVE Online’s development, from its history to its current implementations, but what about the future? There are big things on the horizon for both EVE Online and the company that develops it.
Dominion
First up is to talk about the game’s next major free expansion, Dominion. Due to launch on December 1st. This new expansion is the culmination of the work of somewhere around 120 developers who have been working steadily since the launch of the Apocrypha expansion back in March.
The Dominion expansion will bring a new sovereignty system to the game, and will make changes not only to the ways in which an alliance can capture territory, but also to what can be done with that territory once it’s captured. Captured areas will now offer options for upgrades allowing players the opportunity to decide when and how their space is developed.
