Aion: Curse Founder’s Open Letter to NCsoft
Oct 21st
Curse.com founder "Netcurse" has posted an open letter to NCsoft Korea on AionSource pleading with the company to move fast in addressing a number of key issues he feels will be a detriment to Aion’s long term success here in the West.
In the letter, Netcurse says, "…there are three issues I want to bring to the front page today that need to be addressed or this game will end up being a 300k subscriber game within 6 months, not the one-million+ subscriber game it should be." And then proceeds to go through a laundry list of the game’s most glaring issues, but also provides what he feels would be appropriate solutions.

Aion: One Month in Q&A
Oct 21st
MMORPG.com’s Jon Wood had the opportunity to ask a few questions of Aion’s Producer Brian Knox as we approach the game’s one-month anniversary.
MMORPG.com:
Can you explain what led to the decision to allow what many considered to be outrageous queue times directly after launch rather than to add more servers or take some other measure to be sure that all who paid for the game could play when they wanted to?
Brian Knox:
We tried to walk a very fine line and we strayed a bit in the beginning. Our goal was to always ensure there was a playable server for that language or region. Most players didn’t use this option and continued to stay with their original server, but the option was there. That said, today we’re seeing much more reasonable queue times today and continue to monitor this closely.

Nova forma de fazer login – notícias de RuneScape
Oct 21st

Global Agenda: Payment Methods Announced!
Oct 20th
We’ve got some big news coming out of Hi-Rez Studios today regarding the payment methods for their upcoming sci-fi MMOFPS, Global Agenda. Hi-Rez Studios has announced today that Global Agenda will be available for $49.99 as either a retail box package or a digital download, but more importantly, that there will be no monthly subscription fee required for Global Agenda.
Instead, a subscription package will be offered as an option to customers, which will be known as Global Agenda: Conquest. Customers who opt for the subscription package will receive access to the persistent Alliance vs. Alliance territory control gameplay as well as access to major content updates. For fans familiar with Monte Cristo’s CitiesXL, this arrangement is somewhat similar to the Cities XL vs. Cities XL: Planet Offer.
Global Agenda Executive Producer Todd Harris also offers some comments on the announcement:
"Throughout our Beta process, our fans, players and reviewers have consistently told us that Global Agenda’s combat system is exceptionally fun and that they would love to play it as a multiplayer shooter. This single-purchase, non-subscription model will enable players to fully experience Global Agenda’s award-winning persistent shooter gameplay."
"At the same time, many players are seeking a deeper experience, and want to More >

NCsoft Halloween Activities Lump Sum
Oct 20th
Halloween is not far away. Many Halloween activities from different game publishers are stand by. Here is a brief overview of the Halloween activities across NCsoft’s portfolio of games.
Aion – Harvest Revel
During the Fall harvest, the people of Atreia have always celebrated the bounty of the land. Years ago, the joy of the annual revels was troubled by an eclipse-a peculiar and magical eclipse that brought darkness to Asmodae and Elysea. Ever since, for days during Harvest Revel, the sky goes dark and the people of Atreia join in the hunt.
Asmodians celebrate the bounty through the Wild Hunt, racing after the Wild Kurthanir hunt leader and cooking special dishes made from the meat. On the other side of Atreia, the Elyos encounter undead creatures pulled back into a semblance of life by the power of the eclipse. Elyos must join roving Dark Night bands to hunt and destroy the undead before they invade Elyos villages.
Each day during Harvest Revel players will be rewarded for their investment with new lore and tasty treats including a Halloween Hat and candy that will transform players into in game creatures!

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Blaine Christine Interview
Oct 20th
Steven Crews of the MMOGamer got a chance to sit down with BioWare’s Blaine Christine, Producer on Star Wars: The Old Republic for an interview that sheds some light on some of the game’s more controversial aspects.
One of the major points the interview hits on is the rampant speculation by many MMOG fans that The Old Republic seems more like an online single-player game than a true tradtional MMOG, and Blaine Christine took some time out in the interview to address that:
The MMO Gamer: From the beginning, BioWare has always pitched story as the centerpiece of the game. But you’ve also said that this is going to be a true, “traditional” MMO—and in a traditional MMO you spend about 99.95% of your time engaged in killing things.
So, is story really the centerpiece of the game, or is it combat?
Blaine Christine: That’s a great question, and another important point: Essentially, if we break it down, and this is really rough in terms of percentage…
We’ve talked a lot about story as we’ve delivered demos over the course of the summer, but a very important message is in terms of time spent, you’ll spend more time in story in our game because we have the More >
