[1.Local]: Smoother Dungeon Finding for all?
Feb 21st
Reader comments — ahh, yes, the juicy goodness following a meaty post. [1.Local] ducks past the swinging doors to see what readers have been chatting about in the back room over the past week.
The buzz this weekend is all about the upcoming improvements to the Dungeon Finder tool.
Snuzzle: “The Deserter debuff given to players who leave a dungeon prematurely when queuing via the Random Dungeon option has been increased to 30 minutes, up from 15 minutes. The cooldown for using the Random Dungeon option remains 15 minutes.” Awesome. Maybe this will help prevent whiny tanks from dropping group because something didn’t go their way if they know they’re faced with a queue time as long as a DPS.
“Players who use the Vote Kick option will now be prompted to provide a reason for kicking a party member. This reason will be presented to everyone in the party except for the person voted to be kicked.” Also awesome, will hopefully prevent said whiny tanks from kicking DPS “because I feel like it.” I they actually have to make up a reason on the fly, maybe they’ll be less likely to do so. I won’t click “yes” to kick without a reason, and More >
Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Priests
Feb 21st
If you read the patch notes for the latest public test realm build, you might have noticed there is an odd change being applied to priests of the bubbling nature.
Renewed Hope: now has a 60-second duration, up from 20 seconds, but a 20-second cooldown.
Seems a bit strange, doesn’t it? Is it a buff, a nerf? What would be the point of adding a cooldown to an ability that has a duration exceeding the cooldown? Well, after kicking the Blizzard downloader all night and day, I’ve finally tested it for myself and as it currently functions on PTR it appears to have no negative impact on discipline priests. That said, I do not believe it is currently working entirely as Blizzard intends it to. For more information on what I observed, hit the jump.

Around Azeroth: Don’t drink and PvP
Feb 21st
If you must drink alcoholic spirits during your time in Azeroth, please allow at least one hour per drink before getting into a siege vehicle. Otherwise you’ll learn the hard way, as Willkíll of Nathrezim did. He decided to hit up some Wintergrasp after drinks with the guild, and his vision was so blurry he could barely see six feet in front of him. He ended up assaulting a small clump of trees and a rather irritable moonkin.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We’d love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word “Azeroth” in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing — use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val’kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Sunday Morning Funnies: Red shirt mistake
Feb 21st
Alas, this week’s list is merely an average size. What does that mean? Many artists are busy, away, injured, or have websites that aren’t working. Fortunately for us, there are some really great comics this week to make up for the loss of bulk.
As for last week’s trivia, GI_Prophet wins with ’American Psycho.’ Hex will share the glory for recommending the book. You both win a virtual and imaginary lifetime supply of custom business cards, which happen to taste like jelly beans. They’re non-toxic, don’t worry.
This week’s trivia question is: What is being referenced in LFG’s comic #332? I will accept several answers, so feel free to be creative. Of course, the prizes aren’t real, but there’s always the glory, right?
As always, I’m taking tips. Have you seen a WoW-related webcomic not listed here? Has an older such comic been reactivated?
Drop a note and a link in the comments section, or respond by sending a tip to the site’s main tipline.
