Rapid and surprising rise of technological advancements in previously stagnant fields – news from EvE
May 13th
Major advances have been made recently in various once-stagnant scientific fields, throughout all of civilized New Eden. While the full impact of these advances has yet to be measured, their effects, for good and ill, are already being felt at various levels of society.
Over the following days, we will present a brief overview of the current state of affairs. It must be noted that the brevity of this reportage is due partly to how new these advances are – The Scope always strives to be first – and partly because of the cloud of secrecy that overhangs them. There has been an intensification of high-level interest in the great factional wars, and it is believed, though not yet proven, that these scientific advances are due at least in part to the efforts of those political forces. It will not come as any surprise to our readers that all questions related, if even tangentially, to these forces and their effects on the war efforts are met with muted silence.
It must also be noted that the various entities responsible for these advances have remained extremely reticent to comment on any part of the process. This applies not only to those directly involved More >

Rift: Heroes of Telara
May 12th
Caedryn the Dwarf is continuing his marauding path across Rift's Telara. In today's latest adventure blog, Caedryn and his handler run through what they call the "penultimate" phase of the War on the Golden Maw. Read on!
This weeks sees the penultimate phase of the War of the Wanton Maw. Who knows what the final phase will bring, but you can bet your sweet patootty that it will involve fighting the Dragon Cultists. Which is actually what we are doing this week. “The Wanton Maw's plans have been uncovered. A group of Maelforge and Laethys' most trusted minions have planned a devastating attack on the Ascended, one that threatens the existence of Telara itself, but who or what their target is remains unclear. Rally with the Ascended to end the War of the Wanton Maw, and stop the dragons' secret plot.”

Most MMOs, especially those that have a PVP system like Divina, have a guild system with basic communication features and GVG. But what most players find surprising in Divina is how robust its guild system is, featuring a unique Domain System, which can best be described as a meta-game. Now, these are guilds to be reckoned with!

If you want to buy some EVE iskor EVE item, please click here.
Pay attention: The universe is going to war on May 22nd. That’s awfully nice for the universe to schedule these things and give us a heads up, don’t you think? If that isn’t enough, the makers of EVE Online: Inferno have given us the official expansion website with an infolicious, nougaty center.
The brand-new website has information on EVE’s 17th expansion, including details on the graphics update, the war declaration system, the mercenary marketplace, the unified inventory, and more. According to the website, “Inferno invites new players with a lower barrier to entry, empowers veterans with more control over their wars, and entices combatants of all types with advanced new weaponry.”
Our own EVE Online columnist Brendan has been busy covering the expansion, with analysis on Inferno’s mining system and the PvP revamp.
SWTOR Community Q&A: May 11th
May 11th
f you want to buy SWTOR Credits, Star Wars:The Old Republic Credits,SWTOR Gold,Buy SWTOR Gold, please click here.
This week’s Community Q&A continues to focus on questions about features and systems already present in-game. Also, the next Q&A, with an emphasis on Game Update 1.3, has been scheduled for May 25th. The devs felt it’s appropriate to allow more time for questions to accumulate and avoid answering to the same ones repeatedly.
Posted by: BioWare nakomaru: You have mentioned DPS, healing and tanking “targets” as objective methods of balancing the roles in the game. Are there hybrid targets (e.g. healing & dps spec) as well? It seems some hybrid specs are viable on certain classes and out of the question on others. I suppose this has to do with objectively balancing lower tier skills across the classes.
Austin Peckenpaugh (Senior Designer): Yes and no. In your example of a healer and DPS hybrid, by and large, whatever damage you sacrifice you should pick up in healing. For example, if you gave up 10% damage, we’d expect you to pick up 10% healing. Sometimes that’s the case, but sometimes you lose or pick up synergies that move you above or below an even shift.
