Aion: I’m a PvE Carebear But…
Oct 14th
MMORPG.com Associate Editor Suzie Ford recently had the opportunity to check out the upcoming Aion v2.7 patch with the dev team. The forthcoming patch has a heavy emphasis on PvP play and, while Suzie is a total carebear, she found a lot to like during her time on the public test server. Check out Suzie's impressions of the v2.7 patch. Read on!
So what was I doing at a recently held press event on the Aion Public Test server that was designed to showcase the upcoming v2.7 patch and to herald the emphasis on PvP? That’s actually a good question and one I certainly was asking myself logging in. In fact, so concerned was I about my lack of any relevant knowledge of PvP that I told our developer hosts that I just wasn’t sure how much I’d get out of the event. “Not to worry,” they said, “you’ll learn more than you think and probably have fun too.”

4.3 Preview – Transmogrification
Sep 19th
You’ve been asking for it, and we were listening. In patch 4.3 you’ll be able to customise the appearance of your weapons and armor like never before. The Ethereals, emerging from the nether, will bring with them a new technology they call Transmogrification. They’re heading to the capital cities of Azeroth to set up shop and to offer adventurers a unique service â copying the appearance of one magical item onto another. They only ask for a modest gold donation to recoup their costs.
Visiting a Transmogrifier will present players with a new interface that will allow them to change the appearance of an item while retaining its original stats. This means that you can raid in your paladin tier 12 Immolation set, but look like you’re wearing Lightbringer, while priests can bring Benediction back â at least in spirit. Hunters can once again roam the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale in their tier 2 Dragonstalker set. You could even slip into the saucy tailored Black Mageweave set for that matter. You know, with the thigh-highs, and the little gloves, and the cute little⦠ahem.
Placing an item into the Transmogrifier interface will offer a preview of how the item will appear once More >

The aspects are all there, ready to deal the final blow. First, however, players face off against 6 bosses, and then two encounters against Deathwing.
