Next Mass Test on Tuesday June 14, 2011 – news from EvE
Jun 9th
The next mass test will take place on Tuesday, June 14 at 20:00 UTC, and will be held on the Singularity Server. We will continue testing of the new turret graphics as well as server code improvments. The SisiLauncher tool is available for this test.
We need at least 350 players to come out and test but 550 would be the ideal number for this test. Testing should last between 60 to 90 minutes and all participants will receive two million skillpoints on Singularity, helping you test out even more turrets.
See this thread for more information about how you can take part and this EVElopedia article for more information on mass testing.
Morsus Mihi Reset Standings – news from EvE
Jun 8th
Hakonen, Lonetrek – It is understood that Morsus Mihi [RAWR] will be undergoing a full standings reset, with the exception of keeping RAZOR Alliance blue.
It is believed that RAWR will be moving to Delve and at the same time will be looking to remove many industrialist pilots in favour of combat focused ones.
Imperian, RAWR alliance Operations Leader, confirmed the rumours, saying that although Razor alliance will be remaining blue “for old-times sake” and because “their pilots are awesome”, they will not be joining them in Delve.
Despite RAWR revealing that RAZOR Alliance will remain blue, RAZOR Alliance members seem reluctant to comment. That would suggest that perhaps a full standings reset from RAWR may indeed be long overdue.

EVE Online: Dust 514 to be Exclusive PS3 Title
Jun 7th
CCP has revealed that its EVE Online tie-in shooter will be a PlayStaion 3 only title. Dust 514 is anticipated to be released sometime during the summer of 2012. Developers also announced that the game will have a unique revenue system generated by in-game sales that can lead to virtual riches as well as real-world cash.
With DUST 514, EVE's starship pilots can forge alliances with DUST 514 mercenaries to engage in fierce surface firefights to conquer territories on the planets of New Eden, which are common to both games. The actions of ground troops and orbiting attack fleets are tightly interwoven, with the real time actions of players in one game directly affecting the other. A single bullet fired on the planet below can pivot the balance of power in EVE Online. Every action has consequences, and every reaction has the potential to topple empires.
In a departure from the traditional subscription or one-time purchase model, DUST 514 will be supported by revenues from the in-game sale of virtual goods, allowing players to purchase advanced weaponry, battle gear and vehicles using both earned virtual currency and real money from their PlayStation wallet.

More >EVE Online: Survivor Guy: Returning to Eve Online Part 2
Jun 6th
EVE Incarna is fast approaching with developers spending a lot of time touting new features including the captain's quarters and much more. In his latest Survivor Guy series, MMORPG.com's Adam Tingle heads back into EVE to see how he does after a year's respite from the game. Check out Survivor Guy: Returning to EVE Part 2 and then let us know what you think
Before throwing caution to the wind I decide to do the Eve Online equivalent of asking for fatherly advice; I head into the “Rookie” chat channel and inquire as to reliability of the vehicle I plan on buying; after one or two “LOLS” and a hearty “LMAO EPIC FAIL” I receive a viable message “It’s OK but not brilliant” if there was ever more of a ringing endorsement, the aforementioned was all I needed. Heading back to the opened market panel I purchase the ship named “Merlin” – even the name fills me with pre-teen glee, I will be like the intergalactic version of the Arthurian wizard; I can see the Eve chicks piling up already as I cruise to the space-mall in this bad boy. I click into the menu which holds my space ships and More >

United Front Alliance Disbanding – news from EvE
Jun 4th
Branch – Following the forfeit of their Alliance Tournament IX Pre-Qualifying match, The Interstellar Correspondents can confirm that as of 4.5.113, United Front Alliance [UNIT] will begin disbanding.
Quoting from a UNIT leadership mail circular from IceMen24, it read: “Sorry to tell you that we will disband UNIT in 10 days.”
The message continues as to the reasons for the disbandment: “Northern Coalition [NC] is dead and the plan for the future from Razor Alliance include only some old Northern Coalition allies. Only allies with a relationship [to Razor Alliance] will be set blue.”
It continued to explain that due to UNIT’s position as Razor Alliance pets, they would have no standings to Razor Alliance future contacts: “So with United Front Alliance as “pet” ally from Razor Alliance we can’t get you blue to those who are blue to Razor Alliance. We need a load of work now to get Razor Alliance working again and better so we have no time to run a “pet” ally.”
STURMOVIKA, member of UNIT, revealed that there had already been an evacuation order to members of UNIT for the Branch Region two weeks ago: “We got told to move our shiny stuff to a safe station in empire. We More >
