Capsuleer Outer Region Political Summary – news from EvE
Jan 19th
Y112.12.01 – Y113.01.13
The most visible event for many this period has been the assault launched on the IT Alliance-controlled region of Fountain. This is being headed up by the Goonswarm Federation and Test Alliance Please Ignore (TEST) alliance, with many other allied groups taking part. Two stations within the region have fallen to the attacking force thus far, in PNQY-Y and 9R4-EF.
The assault has seen the fiercest fighting in the region since IT Alliance ousted Pandemic Legion from it last year. 14,487 vessels were destroyed in the last month of Y112 within the Fountain region, a considerable rise from the average of just over six thousand in the six months prior to that. The IT Alliance coalition has sustained considerably greater losses than the attacking forces so far, accounting for more than half of all of the ships lost within the region that month. The fighting continues to escalate, with 114 Sovereignty Blockade Units destroyed in January versus just 52 in all of December.
The southeast has been highlighted by continued assaults by Against All Authorities (.-A-.) as they attempt to reclaim their former territories. Assisted by their allies, .-A-. is battling The Initiative (INIT), the new owners of the territory. More >
Sansha’s Nation Invasion of Tama Underway – news from EvE
Jan 19th
Sansha’s Nation forces have begun an invasion of the Caldari State Solar System Tama.
This invastion comes in Light of their previous hostile appearance within the Solar System Ashab within Amarrian Territory.
The invasion began at 22:00, with a mere 20 residents in the system being caught by surprise.
New Eden capsuleers are converging on the solar system in an effort to either support the Sansha forces by defending their fleet or by beginning an offensive on all Sansha’s Nation vessels and supporting capsuleers.
JiaLei Lian, member of pro-Sansha alliance Shaktipat Revelators, explained that she would support the decisions of Sansha, “My ’opinion’ is that the Tama system has seen much conflict. If the Master wishes operations to continue here, I trust his wisdom.”
SectorClear, anti-Sansha capsuleer of the corporation Terminal Logic, explained his views on the invasion, “It’s sad to see that the majority of pilots continues to undermine the efforts that capsuleers put into stopping the Sansha menace.”
Mallet, member and pirate of Session Changes alliance, gave his individual reason for entering Tama, “to be honest this is just a chance for us ’security status challenged people’ to kill random people”
At the time of writing, over 130 pilots are present in Tama, supporting More >
Trade Hub Continues to Grow for Intaki Liberation Front – news from EvE
Jan 19th
Intaki, Placid - The Intak iLiberation Front [ILF] are celebrating six months of a so far successful 5-5 trade hub in Intaki, which has seen them so far raise 15 billion ISK in sales of ships and items. Apollonius Verus, ILF Director of Non-Combat Operations, seemed particularly happy that not only can capusleers purchase any type of small or medium tech 1 ship but they can also outfit it with tech 1 or tech 2 gear, “all without having to leave the Intaki system”.Maintaining such a trade hub has not been easy for the ILF, with mineral shortages causing problems early in the project’s life. They say that they have now been “noticed” by mineral traders and, combining that with their own limited mining capabilities, now have a “large enough store of minerals” to keep their factories running for a long time. The ISK generated is reinvested into four ongoing projects. The “bulk” of the ISK is put into the “Ship Replacement Program” and “Anti-Pirate Bounty Program”. The rest of the ISK is spent on maintenance and infrastructure improvements to the ILF’s “Prosperity Station” tower and on purchasing the blueprint copies they need. The “Ship Replacement Program” is a way More >
EVE Online: Accessing Old Portraits
Jan 18th
CCP Purple Tentacle has posted a new blog on the official EVE Online site. EVE devs will be releasing Incursion later today and with it's arrival, the old portraits that represented players will be removed from the game. Players will need to create new avatars. But players become attached to portraits and Purple Tentacle has them covered: A new database of all the old character portraits has been created that players can access to revisit old faces!
As most of you already know, on Tuesday we are releasing Incursion, which comes with a brand new avatar creation system. All the old portraits will be removed from the game and you will have to create new portraits for all your characters. I have spent considerable time playing with the new avatar creator and it is absolutely awesome. It is superior to the old one in every aspect, and no matter how many portraits I create with it, I just cannot get bored of it. However, no matter how cool it is, I figured that it would still feel like a loss to see my old face, the one I was tied to for many years, being flushed down the drain just like More >
BREAKING NEWS: Sansha forces in Ashab – news from EvE
Jan 18th
ASHAB 1 – Just moments ago, Sansha forces attacked in the Domain region.
Amarrian capsuleers engaged and were succesful in pushing the Sansha forces back, but not without casualties. Early reports even suggest that some capsuleers may have even fired upon each other rather than deal with the Sansha forces in the system.
Early reports also suggest that the Sansha forces were able to bypass jamming systems by entering through wormholes.
The Interstellar Correspondents will be following up with a full detailed report shortly.

Against ALL Authorities and Allies Retaking Former Territory In Catch – news from EvE
Jan 18th
HY-RWO, Catch – In the early hours of 15.01.113, The Initiative. [INIT.] alliance lost sovereignty of HY-RWO and GJ0-OJ solar systems to Against ALL Authorities [.-A-.], former sovereignty holders in the region. The so-called Stain Coalition, which comprises, among others, Against ALL Authorities, C0VEN, En Garde and ROMANIAN-LEGION is now engaged in sustained fighting in Catch against The Initiative. and their subsidiary alliances, Initiative Associates and Initiative Mercenaries. In the last week, Against ALL Authorities have taken some 8 systems in Catch, while territory held by The Intitiative. and its allies is shrinking rapidly. Reports flowing from the area indicate that about 900 vessels took part in the fray on the 15th, including an estimated 19 Titans and 20 super-carriers. Barbaro55a, an INIT. pilot, described the moment Stain Coalition entered HY-RWO. “[We were] ridding the system of pirate rats when the Stain Coalition tore into the system through several beacons at the station… It seems they had come to brutalise our stations.” The Initiative’s fleet attempted to destroy a Sovereignty Blockade Unit at one of the system's stargates, which could have prevented Stain Coalition attacking the station. The early stages of the engagement at the SBU were plagued by communications difficulties More >

Capsuleer to Sacrifice Chimera in Celebration – news from EvE
Jan 17th
To celebrate six years of blogging, Kirith Kodachi is hosting a special event in the Teshkat solar system in the Tash Murkon Region.
Kirith Kodachi explains, “I’ll warp to a celestial (no station or gate) in Teshkat and tell everyone in local and the Ninveah channel where I am. Then they can come to shoot or support me. I will fight back but will not warp away for 30 minutes.”
The Prize list for the event consists of a ’grand prize’ awarded for the final blow on the Chimera carrier, the capsuleer who does so wins an Imperial Navy Armageddon battleship. A Guristas faction Gila Cruiser will be awarded to the capsuleer doing the most damage to the Chimera. An Imperial Navy Slicer frigate will be awarded to the capsuleer who issues the final blow on Kirith Kodachi’s pod.
Kirith also added an additional prize to encourage defence of the Chimera; “there will be a pirate faction cruiser prize for getting on the most killmails during the event. This is to help encourage pilots to defend me if the system gets really busy.”
The event will take place on Jan 18th, at 02:00.
