Einherjar Alliance Disbands – news from EvE
Oct 26th
Cistuvaert, Verge Vendor. Einherjar Alliance [THOR-] has closed its doors following the mutual withdrawal of the two remaining executive corporations: TalCorp Enterprises [LTCE] and Forging Industries [FORG].
Einherjar had previously been active in Tash-Murkon and Domain in Empire space and Providence and Great Wildlands in null sec. Operating a strictly Not Red Don’t Shoot policy (NRDS), the alliance had engaged in general anti-pirate operations including support of Curatores Veritatis [CVA] activities within Providence region.
TalCorp Enterprises CEO, Lord Talamar, explained: “The two [remaining] founding corps of Einherjar had different ideas in the end in terms of how to run things in the alliance, so we decided to go our separate ways. Forg has already started their new alliance (Silent Infinity) and we will be starting ours within the next two weeks.”
A dispute over ship replacement seems to have been a bone of contention. Lord Talamar told us: “Forg is a self described capitalist corporation whose goal is to make a profit through ship building. There was disagreement over the formalized Einherjar navy which was run mainly by TalCorp fleet commanders. Basically, many Forg members didn’t seem to like the idea of a formalized navy for military activities and several were against the More >

R.A.G.E alliance claims Sovereignty in The Kalevala Expanse – news from EvE
Oct 25th
BZ-BCK, The Kalevala Expanse – Earlier today R.A.G.E Alliance claimed Sovereignty in 8 Systems of the Kalevala Expanse after heavy fighting, owning now almost the whole 2Q-8WA constellation.
R.A.G.E alliance is part of the Northern Coalition (together with Morsus Mihi, RAZOR, Majesta Empire and more). The NC began an invasion of The Kalevala Expanse in the western Drone regions a few days ago. The current long-term owners of the Drone regions (Legion of xXDeathXx, Red Alliance and others) and their ally White Noise set up heavy resistance.
The invasion rolls from northern Geminate, currently held by R.A.G.E, and focused the past days on establishing a bridgehead to The Kalevala Expanse by capturing the entry system UDVW-O. Massive battles raged for hours in that system. Both sides took heavy losses, more than 1000 ships destroyed, before Legion of xXDeathXx retreated. Shorter supply routes of the NC for reshipping destroyed ships (just one jump) played a vital strategical role.
Yesterday the battles continued, this time primarily in BZ-BCK. At first the defenders had the upper hand, a wing of a dozen skillful White Noise bombers wiped out almost 100 hostile battleships. But with NC reinforcements and heavy fighting, Legion of xXDeathXx’s Territorial Control Unit got More >
Capsuleer Fights Back Against Latest Jita Scam – news from EvE
Oct 24th
Jita is a notorious haven in New Eden for scamming. Being the primary trade hub within New Eden, capsuleers come to Jita with the intention of buying or selling items, and some capsuleers fall foul of varied and crafty scams.
There is the most common form of scam; offering to “double your ISK” by claiming to send you twice the amount you send them. Some scammers will send back double of small amounts of ISK in the hopes that you will send back larger amounts for doubling after your ’test’. Needless to say, larger amounts will undoubtedly not be doubled and sent back.
Other common Jita scams include name changing; a ship offered in a trade window may have been named as a higher valued ship. For example, a Caldari Raven named as a ’Caldari Navy Raven’, which the unsuspecting victim purchases at the inflated price only to discover the error after the trade is complete.
An uncommon scam involves courier contracts to unsafe stations; the destination for the courier contract is usually set for those similar to the ones in high security empire space such as the “Caldari Navy Assembly Plant” and they offer a large reward but an even larger collateral. More >

Willbur was in seemingly good spirits after the loss, describing The Inf1dels attack as a “good shot”, and expressing his surprise after the attack; “I didn’t know that it was possible to [kill] a sturdy battleship inside the empire. [New Eden] will always surprise me. And that’s what makes [it] exciting.”

EACS Sold for 10.6 Billion ISK – news from EvE
Oct 20th
Rens, Heimatar. Estel Arador’s Corp Services [EACS] has been sold at auction for 10.6bn ISK. The new owner, Alacta Lithia, took control of EACS operations earlier this week following a smooth handover.
Ms. Lithia of Carniffles Corp [CARNI] had by her own admission extended herself precariously in order to remain in the bidding: “I have basically invested all of my spare ISK … even selling off some spare assets to raise the ISK required.”
She also stated she does not forsee any real potential for profit running the EACS service: “From an investment point of view, it will not offer very good returns if the same average from donations are recieved due to the price tag.”
“I decided that I would continue to run it as a free service to the EVE community. It was never my view to make huge profits from this.”
“At present it is business as usual, EACS will continue to be run as a free service helping all with their jump clone needs. Estel (Arador) has helped a lot in the transition, giving me useful tips on how he handled the business.”
When asked if the purchase of EACS represented a new stage in her career Ms. Lithia was optimistic: “Currently More >

Loyalist Capsuleers Publish Amarr Influenced Prayer Book – news from EvE
Oct 19th
Last month, the capsuleer owned Khanid Publishing House Ltd. released their Book of Prayer and Devotions for the Reclaimer, a compilation of prayers and holy scriptures designed for loyalist Amarr capsuleers. The Book is available to every capsuleer free of charge. It is 30 pages long and includes words of faith, prayers for battle troops and officers, benedictions and sermons.
The book was written by Odelya d’Hanguest of the 1st Praetorian Guard; “The first goal [is] to humbly offer a small spiritual guide for the faithful… behind the fighting crusader there are doctors, scientists, engineers and resource harvesters, instructors, officials and employees from offices, proud representatives of every area of our intellectual life that even in the midst of war produces miracles of Amarrian genius and contributes to the Reclaiming. It is for all of them.”
The book was well received by many in the Amarr capsuleer community who praise the level of detail and the ’righteousness’ the Book of Prayer and Devotion for the Reclaimer offers.
Not everyone received the publication of the book positively. Some Minmatar capsuleers feel offended by this ’book of faith’ and fear it will promote injustice. “It makes direct reference to the event known amongst my people More >
EVE Online: Incursion’s Icing on the Cake
Oct 18th
In a new developer blog at the official EVE Online site, CCP Chronotis, the team outlines some of the terrific changes that most players will welcome with open arms. Among those changes are: Tech II ammo enhancements; rocket 'power ups' to make them more effective; Faction ships in the market; Fighter Bomber lag addressed and fixed.
Tech II ammo is getting some love in the coming expansion. We are focusing on the short range versions of the Tech II ammo such as Gleam, Conflagration, Hail, Quake, Void and Javelin. We are removing various negative effects from each, focusing on the drawbacks which penalize your ship itself and also stack per hardpoint loaded with the ammo. This means the ammo will be a good alternative to the faction ammo and, without such focused and sometimes crippling drawbacks, will be much more useful.
