Planetside 2 has presented a new light tank, the Lightning
Apr 29th
Planetside 2 has presented new information about its new Nanite Systems vehicle, the Lightning tank.
This light weight 75mm tank is available to all three factions, and is designed to take advantage of a war without death, and intel shows it is quick, requires few resources to obtain and only needs a one man crew.
The only weakness the tank seems to have is that it cannot survive a direct confrontation against a main battle tank.

- Its “Skyguard” turret is the most effective ground-to-air weapon on the battlefield, as it’s fitted with 40mm cannons with an elevation range of 80 degrees

Pirate Galaxy is celebrating it
Apr 29th
Splitscreen is celebrating the 3rd anniversary of its browser MMO Pirate Galaxy with a huge in-game event and a new feature: the Drones.
“3 years ago the human space colony in the Vega system was battered by a continuous brutal onslaught from an alien race that became known as the Mantis. Brave space pirates joined the human resistance against the Mantis invasion.
They engaged the terrifying enemy in countless thrilling battles and spread throughout the universe, liberating one star system after another, forging clans and alliances, and powering up their ever-growing fleet of spaceships.
Today marks the third anniversary of human resistance against the Mantis, so thousands of presents had been prepared during past months that would score participants of the celebration a fantastic reward. But the Mantis found out.
Eager to deal a vengeful blow to humanity they struck down all the cargo vessels shipping presents for the celebration and took whatever they could take. Once again only the courage and bravery of the space pirates can save the day.
The fantastic A101 Armor Drone is your final reward! Collecting presents will eventually give you access to this amazing drone which transforms any of your spaceships into a highly competitive reinforced combat unit!“

EVE Online’s CSM 7 took office earlier this month on April 4th, and the Council of Stellar Management is now officially in business. Today, the members of the CSM have released a letter outlining their plans and philosophies for the future. They first take the opportunity to announce their CSM officer choices, revealing Seleene as the CSM Chairman, Trebor Daehdoow as Vice-Chairman, Two Step as the CSM Secretary, and Hans Jagerblitzen as Vice-Secretary.
The letter then takes a moment to address the upcoming CSM 7 summit, which will be taking place between May 30th and June 1st. The CSM members note that “the summit will be a major opportunity to provide community input as CCP develops [its] plans for the Winter Expansion,” and they encourage players to make their voices heard. But how? Well, the letter states that “one thing that CSM 7 will be doing differently than past CSMs is directly communicating with the players as much as possible” through a variety of media, including in-game chat, the CSM member blog, Twitter, and monthly Town Hall meetings, the first of which will be taking place in-game on May 19th. TERA collector’s edition gets unboxed
Apr 27th
If you’re a big enough fan of TERA to pre-order the collector’s edition, you probably can’t wait to get your hands on it and look at what’s inside. But maybe you can’t wait on a very literal level — you have to see what’s in that box right now. You’re in luck, as the collector’s edition has been unboxed by the fine folks at Curse, giving you a chance to see (if not handle) the bonus additions before the game’s full launch.
So what’s contained therein? You probably know already if you pre-ordered: a map, a handsome box, a compass, and of course, the game itself. But there are lots of specifics to cover, like the quality of the extra little collectibles. So if you’re in the literally-cannot-wait crowd, click on past the break to see what it’s like to open up a new copy of the game before you can do so in real life.
Rift: Infernal Dawn
Apr 27th
Caedryn the Dwarf is still plugging away in Rift but with a whole new set of objectives with the arrival of the v1.8 "Infernal Dawn" update. See what he's discovered and then leave your thoughts in the comments.
You know how it is. You’ve just closed down your fifth Rift of the day, battling insane gibbering sea creatures from the cold, icy depths of the black ocean, and you want to kick back a bit. To relax. To recuperate. Maybe watch the sun setting over a calm lake, the gentle, orange-limned ripples lapping the shore as you cast your line. And if this is what you've been thinking, (and let's face it, who hasn't?), then the Fishing skill is just for you.
