Nov 19th
With last week's lifting of the non-disclosure agreement, the lid came off and people are writing like mad about Star Wars: The Old Republic. In The List today, MMORPG.com Managing Editor Bill Murphy takes a look at five things that seem to be very popular with fans. Check out Bill's ideas and then let us know what you think in the comments.
Now that the cat is completely out of the bag on BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic, we figured it's high time we laid down the ups and downs of the biggest game this holiday season has to offer. Today we'll focus on five things we really found engaging and refreshing about SWTOR, but rest assured that next week we will do the exact opposite and talk about a few things that are less than stellar about the game. Bear in mind that all of these little bullet points are just what we find excellent and also that SWTOR is still in beta and subject to change in the month leading up to launch.

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Sith Marauder Preview
Nov 17th
Bioware has blown the lid off of coverage of Star Wars: The Old Republic and MMORPG.com Community Manager Michael Bitton takes a look at the Sith Marauder. Read on to find out what it's like to be consumed by rage in The Old Republic.
Truth be told, I seem to fall in love with most of the classes I try in Star Wars: The Old Republic, but outside of the Imperial Agent, one class holds a special place in my heart: the Sith Marauder. Why? Because I beat Daniel Erickson with one back in April! Naturally, when I was given the opportunity to sample the Sith Empire side of things I decided to circle back around and play the Marauder once again.

Star Wars: The Old Republic: SWTOR ? Dark Side or Light?
Nov 17th
In today's Player Perspectives, MMORPG.com's Isabelle Parsley is beginning to consider how she will play Star Wars: The Old Republic. Isabelle wonders whether to choose Light or Dark side when she first logs into SWTOR and a few thoughts about the overall good vs bad thing going on. Check out Isabelle Parsley's Player Perspectives and then leave a couple of comments.
The problem with MMOs these days, however, is that faction decisions aren’t based purely on lore and a player’s personal choices. SWTOR has raised some interesting debates lately among my friends and acquaintances, and within the guild I’m likely to be playing the game with – but what we’re discussing isn’t so much the lore as what all the other players are likely to choose. Some of my friends and acquaintances are determined to go Empire because they foresee another WoW Alliance/Horde effect, where everyone starts off wanting to play the pretty/good guys. The unspoken implication is that only the smart people, the really good players, will choose the ugly bad guys.

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Sith Inquisitor Preview
Nov 17th
Bioware has blown the lid off of coverage of Star Wars: The Old Republic and MMORPG.com's Bill Murphy takes a look at the Sith Inquisitor, accompanied by some screens to give a sneak peek into the Sith beginning area. Check it out and then leave us a couple of comments.
For the second round of our Star Wars: The Old Republic press beta experience I went to a class I didn’t think I’d be playing in the live game: The Sith Inquisitor. Now, as it happens, I think I may have accidentally just stumbled onto my main squeeze when SWTOR launches on December 20th. The Sith Inquisitor is like stepping into the shoes of a young Emperor, eager to prove just how badass you are, and willing to do anything to be taken seriously. I’ve tried the Jedi Knight, the Smuggler, and a bit of all the Republic classes… but it’s the Inquisitor that really rang true

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Bounty Hunter Preview
Nov 17th
Bioware has blown the lid off of coverage of Star Wars: The Old Republic and MMORPG.com's Garrett Fuller has a preview of the Bounty Hunter. Packed into Garrett's "Ode to Boba Fett" are three action videos to show off the Bounty Hunter in action. Read on and then leave a comment or two when finished.
Quick draws, blasters, rockets, double crosses, and of course jet packs. That is the life of a Bounty Hunter in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Forget the Force, forget mysticism and mind powers: who needs those when you have some serious firepower! The Bounty Hunter class surprised me with how quick the gameplay is and how many options you have in a fight. Basically the Imperial version of the Trooper, the Bounty Hunter relies on tech, weapons, and some bravado to take down Jedi.

Star Wars: The Old Republic: SWTOR Republic Preview
Nov 17th
In our newest weekly video column, Hillary "Pokket" Nicole brings her views on all things MMO to the table for discussion. This week Hillary takes a look at Star Wars: The Old Republic. While generally painted in shades of gray, the Republic is considered by many as holders of the "good" side of the force. Hillary takes a look at the perennial (to some) good guys from SWTOR: The Republic. Check out Game Face: SWTOR Republic Preview and then leave us a comment or two.
Star Wars: The Old Republic: Imperial Agent Preview
Nov 16th
Bioware has blown the lid off of coverage of Star Wars: The Old Republic and MMORPG.com's Carolyn Koh takes a look at the Imperial Agent and has taken some great in-game screenshots to show the class off. Read on and then weigh in with your thoughts in the comments.
Ah Bioware, where would we be without story? That’s the first thing I want to say. The opening movie of Star Wars: The Old Republic pretty much kicked ass. I have had the opportunity over the past couple years, to play quite a bit of the starting story of both Imperial and Empire at various media events and each time, I’ve not wanted to stop. I love the story aspect of MMOs (those which have it) and will putz around to smell the roses or in this case, kill a sniveling excuse for a human or two. I decided for my time with the press beta on SWTOR to play the Imperial Agent because that was a faction/class combination I had not played before. I was an assassin, an operative – the secret weapon of the Empire! Uhh… that might be pushing it. I was a total noob at how this class More >

If you thought this past weekend was big, well it looks like everyone who has signed up for Game Testing, as well as those who never bothered, will have a chance to take the game for a spin before it launches in about a month.
