Warhammer Online: Transition Update – 7/5/2010
Jul 5th
Greetings! We’re very happy to announce that the transfer of character and guild data from GOA to BioWare Mythic has successfully completed and all European players are now being automatically redirected to their new home servers. These servers are an exact 1:1 copy of your previous servers taken on 29 June 2010, so no action is needed from players aside from to log in, patch and play!
Existing and returning players can access the Mythic Account center (https://accounts.eamythic.com/) using their same Master Account name with a _EUR suffix added on. For Example <ACCOUNT NAME> would now be <ACCOUNT NAME>_EUR.
PLEASE NOTE: In some rare cases of Master Account names exceeding 19 characters, players will only use an underscore suffix; For example <ACCOUNT NAME>_. In most cases players will use the _EUR suffix. The above information applies to your WAR game account as well.
Also, we’ve been able to transfer all previously stored items in player Mailboxes, on the Auction House and in Guild Banks at the time we received the data stamp from GOA so these items are waiting for you on your new BioWare Mythic hosted servers.
In the coming weeks we will be continuing to ramp up Customer Service Support More >
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: Producer’s Letter
Jul 1st
Warhammer Online producer, Carrie Gouskos, has penned the latest letter outlining the updates coming down the pipe in the near future. At the same time, Gouskos acknowledges players' need to hear more about long term plans for the game.
Through these communications I’ve emphasized how we listen to the community and take your feedback seriously while planning the future of WAR. For the most part, the “P-Letter” (as I like to call it) is intended to be a short term look at the next version or two, giving you a look forward at the months to come. However, it’s very clear that there is a lot of desire to hear about long term planning. We hear these requests loud and clear, and it is our desire to give you a better sense of WAR’s long term plan by the end of summer. Our detractors like to make fun of us for “being really excited” and “itching to tell you about” some “really cool things” (yes, we read the snarky posts), and in this case we want to shout it from the rooftops…but not just yet.
Gouskos takes a look at the latest v1.3.6 including RVR, incentivizing city armors and appearance slots.

Warhammer Online: Producer’s Letter – June 2010
Jun 30th
Hello all and welcome to the June Producer’s Letter!
In the meantime, there is a lot going on right now! As you now know, we are working with GOA to transition the European community over to Bioware Mythic (Like the fancy new name? We’re still getting used to it ourselves). We’re overjoyed to welcome our European More >

Jun 28th
BioWare Mythic is pleased to announce that we will assume operational responsibility for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning European players beginning 7 July 2010.
On Tuesday, 29 June 2010 Mythic will be taking a data stamp of all European account, character and guild information from GOA, for both present and past players. Once this has occurred, all player and guild progression will not be saved for a period of a few days. Please note: While we do not anticipate any issues, please be aware that at any point during this transitional period that we may need to restore character and guild data from the 29 June 2010 data stamp.
When the process has completed, the European Mythic servers will be brought online and will be continually monitored during this transitional period. All game play during this period will be free for existing subscribers and current European subscribers will receive two weeks of free game play beginning 7th July.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: More Layoffs at Mythic
Jun 17th
Continuing the tumultuous series of events that have plagued Mythic since the launch of Warhammer Online in 2008, it appears that EA Mythic has been hit with a new round of layoffs this morning. Josh Drescher, a key player in the development of WAR and well known to fans, is no longer employed with EA Mythic as of 11AM this morning according to a tweet posted on his personal Twitter account.
The news left many of his followers on Twitter wondering if he had been fired, but a more recent post confirms that this was indeed another round of layoffs:
FYI: I can't get into details (and, in fact, don't HAVE many more details), but it was a layoff. I wasn't fired and I still love Mythic.
We'll have more information as this story develops. Josh previously served as a senior designer at Mythic.
Warhammer Online: Hot Fixes – 6/15/2010
Jun 15th
Greetings!
The following Hot Fixes were implemented during today’s downtime:
General Changes and Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that could cause mail in a character’s mailbox to become stuck if they logged out at the same time the mail was sent.
- Elixir of Ptra: Fixed an issue where the effect granted by this potion was not properly triggering.
- Hoardmaster Skinchange: Fixed an issue where this NPC offered equipment from the incorrect Realm.
- Hoardmaster Frerger: Fixed an issue where this NPC offered equipment from the incorrect Realm.
User Interface
- We have updated the method in which stores will display their inventory. The purchasable checkbox has been replaced with a drop down menu of filter choices for the store display. The default filter is ‘Useful Now or Later’ and presents all items on the store that can be used by the character currently or at some point in the future. The next filter is ‘Useful Now’ which will filter the list down to only items that the character currently meets the requirement to use. The last filter is ‘Show All’ which will include all items that the store can sell, regardless of whether the player can use the item.
- In addition to the filters, stores will now ask players to verify More >
