Interview with Rachel: Expectation of Vampires, The New Class in Dragon’s Call
For weeks now the player community comprised of players from across all 7 servers (1/2 are merged, 3/4 likewise) have been awaiting the release of the mysterious fourth class in Dragon’s Call (DC). Even though still in development, the vampire class has stirred the interest of players, with the avatars for the new class released a few weeks back.
Quality was terrible so I excluded it.
With only a few details released about vampires, the community has turned to speculation as to what exactly this new class will bring to the game and how they will affect the gameplay and class balance. We interviewed Countess Ra ([CM]Rachel) of server 7 to shed some light on the player expectations of vampires.
Q) What does the word “vampire” bring to mind?
A) The first thing I think of would be how much it’s going to suck when vampires come out on Dragon’s Call. No pun intended.
Q) There is a lot of secrecy surrounding this new class, what would you say are safe assumptions in terms of characteristics boasted by the vampire class when it is finally unveiled.
A) Probably immunity from HP leech. By HP leech, I mean a lot of HP leech, not just 5% from a weapon. Though, there could be a skill where you sparkle in combat and blind your enemies. I think the skill would be called Cullen Pollen.
Q) Do you think they will launch magical or physical attacks and why?
A) Probably physical attacks. Having sparkles on a vampire is one thing. Using magic is another. Might as well make a necromancer if you’re going for another magical class, but they’re not.
Q) In your opinion, how will this new class affect the balance in PvP?
A) Honestly, I don’t think it’ll make much of a difference than what it is now. However, that’s coming from someone who doesn’t have knowledge of the skills, abilities and what stat influences character traits.
Q) What do you think about the idea of vampires receiving a stat boost or other sort of buff during server night time and a stat decrease/debuff of some sort during in-game daytime.
A) It would completely throw any sort of balance left in the game out the door. For example, guilds would then start recruiting as many vampires as they can and only war during the night time. While players who don’t own a vampire will not get additional stats.
And…Go Cullen Pollen! WOOOOOOO!
Thank you kindly for your time Rachel .
