Tales of Pirates II MMORPG Introduces Fourth City

Tales of Pirates II, is currently in Closed Beta and players are having a splashing good time. Part of the joy of being a pirate is the chance to go on exciting voyages into uncharted waters. Since it’s not just about where you go, but what you do when you get there, ToP II promises plenty of surprises for everyone to explore on the new Dream City.
The Dream City will be the fourth major city in ToP II. It may seem like an island paradise, but its beauty conceals many dark secrets. To help players discover them, there are more than 50 NPCs to interact with. Tons of treasures and exhilarating adventures await those brave enough to set foot in this mysterious new land.
New Equipment Slots Along with the debut of Dream City, the ToP II team is adding new equipment slots. Pirates can prepare themselves for the battles ahead by equipping Bangles, Belts and Cuffs. These pieces of equipment can only be found in Dream City. Complete the tasks assigned by a local NPC to gather the materials needed to craft these special items. Once equipped, the new items will give players a competitive edge that others will envy.

Warhammer Online: WAR Forums – The Lords of Change Are At Work

As previously announced last week WAR is joining the BioWare Social Network. Within the next 24 hours we will transition the Official WAR Forums from their current location to their new home.

WoW Moviewatch: Icecrown Gunship Battle: Now in Real Life!

The creation of WoW movies — whether it is machinima or live-action — stems from the author’s love of game, cinema, or just raw creation. It takes a lot of love to create a WoW movie. And sometimes, just sometimes, you manage to do something unique. Sometimes, you can do something so completely awesome that it nearly defies description.
The Icecrown Gunship Battle: Now in Real Life! is one such unique movie. A guild got together and built cardboard replicas of the gunships floating above Icecrown. They loaded these replicas with firework cannons. And then they let them do battle.
I won’t spoil the ending for you. This movie is beautiful in its simplicity. Its pureness lends it elegance. It is, in a word, awesome.

ChangYou : T2 2010 : un trimestre record pour Changyou

Changyou vient de publier ses comptes du deuxième trimestre 2010 : des résultats records grâce aux performances de Tian Long Ba Bu (fort de pics de 1,28 millions de joueurs connectés simultanément).
Le studio Changyou vient de publier les comptes de son deuxième trimestre 2010 (clôturé le fin juin dernier) et le Chinois annonce un trimestre record, enregistrant un chiffre d’affaires de 77,7 millions de dollars en progression de 8% par rapport au trimestre précédent et de 17% par rapport au même trimestre l’année dernière. Son bénéfice net atteint 42,1 millions sur le trimestre.
Ce résultat, dont Changyou escompte qu’il progresse encore au cours du prochain trimestre, serait le fruit des performances du MMORPG « Free to Play » Tian Long Ba Bu (baptisé Dragon Oath aux Etats-Unis et TLBB en Europe). Changyou y revendique quelque 98,2 millions de joueurs enregistrés sur sa plateforme (pour des pics de connexions simultanées établis à 1,28 millions de joueurs) et compte 2,79 millions d’utilisateurs actifs et payants (leur nombre progresse de 17% depuis le trimestre précédent). Et s’ils dépensent un peu moins que précédemment (-8%), chaque joueur rapporte encore en moyenne plus de 20 euros à l’exploitant (ARPU).

Darion Mograine “The Knights of the Ebon Blade will not falter.”
Darion Mograine was stillborn but his father, Alexandros, dipped him in a freezing cold stream of water and he awoke. His mother died from complications from his birth. In Darions younger years he insisted on fighting with his father in the plagued city of Stratholme. He took a serious wound that nearly killed him. While he was unconscious, his brother, Renault, betrayed his father and Alexandros the Ashbringer was slain. In the act of killing his father with his own sword, Renault corrupted the Ashbringer and trapped his fathers soul with it. Unable to use the blade, Renault left it with the body of his father. His treachery went unknown to anyone.
Upon learning of his fathers death, Darion began to question the Light and was confronted by a troll priest named Zabra Hexx. Zabra tells Darion that his fathers spirit has not passed on and that he can feel the connection to Alexandros through the Light. Darion asks him where his father can be found and Zabra tells him that he had seen a vision of a fortress floating above a burning city then vanishes mysteriously.
