In a new feature at RTSGuru.com, Kassandra Khaw takes a look at League of Legends: Dominion and why she thinks it's a fine addition to the game.
As we work towards the more complex reasons behind Dominion's success, I'm going to reiterate on a previous point. MOBAs really aren't the sort of thing you can switch around. Not without considerable forethought and no small amount of luck. If you want the MOBA crowd to be enthused about you're offering, you're going to have to give them what you want. And Dominion, against all odds, does exactly that.

Jagged Alliance Online offers to all his players a strong tactic component. The combat system is turn-based and the game put the player inside a crude world full of mercenaries. The gamer can choose some of the best mercenaries around and with them try to complete a lot of PvE missions.
These missions will give him items, in-game rewards and money that can be used to buy a lot of upgrades for the structures in the main base and ammos for his mercenaries. Every mercenary has his main favourite weapon and his gameplay style. The player needs to choose wisely which mercenary bring to complete the quests!
The combat system, as we said, is turn-based and the player need to worry about the number of ammos his mercenary will use and about his health. The gamer will have also a little base with different buildings, such as the hospital and the armory.

Barbily is going to release tomorrow a new expansion for Star Supremacy, named War Version. In addition to celebrate the launch of this expansion, Barbily is releasing an Alliance Recruiting event.
War Version comes with two new gameplay modes:
- Alliance War In this feature, alliances are allowed to declare wars on other alliances. Members of alliances get 3 times the Honor points from any battle if the alliances they are in are in Wars. More unique and powerful items will be added in the Honor shop and only Honor points can be used to buy these items.
- Domination War After occupying certain numbers of nodes and space fortresses on a planet, an alliance will be selected as the dominator of this planet. The planet will be named after this alliance. Mysterious rewards will be sent to every member of the alliance.
Military ranking will be applied to Ships attributes. Thus, the highest ranking, General of the Air Force, will be no longer appearing as just an eyes-catching title. In order to get ready for this new War Version expansion, Star Supremacy is celebrating a Alliance Recruiting event until the February 7th. While many of us would like to see MMO developers try something different when it comes to the endgame, we're all familiar with 'the grind' by now. But does Star Wars: The Old Republic offer worthwhile progression in both PvE and PvP? Or is one area stronger than the other? Read on for our thoughts!
It’s hard to think about an MMO that doesn’t present you with some form or another of grind once you reach the game’s level cap (and often before!). Star Wars: The Old Republic is no different in that upon hitting cap you won’t be surprised by the activities available to you. There is an assortment of daily and weekly quests associated with both PvE and PvP content, and you’ll want to complete them (and the relevant content) to continue to progress your character. I’ve accepted the endgame grind at this point, but the disparity between enjoyment of PvP and PvE in the game is a large one.
