The next mass test will take place on our test-server Singularity on Thursday, December 22 at 15:00 UTC and will focus on testing Time Dilation again. The SisiLauncher tool is available for the Windows client, otherwise please follow the instructions on the Singularity page in Evelopedia.
Testing should last between 60 and 90 minutes. All participants will receive two million skillpoints on Singularity.

New style, new content, all EVE – news from EvE

Along with the launch of the new EVElopedia design, we are proud to reveal the completely revamped and revitalized Fiction Portal. The Fiction Portal is a collection of over a thousand new EVElopedia articles all focused on EVE backstory and lore. Their content has been drawn from the myriad of EVE-related published material, completely rewritten for the wiki, and expanded on considerably with brand new background material never before seen. The Fiction Portal will be an ongoing project for CCP, and we encourage our players to head over and dive in at the deep end of EVE lore.

New Year’s Celebration Promises Fireworks – news from EvE

Umokka, Lonetrek – At precisely 23:59 Eve Time on December 31, the annual New Year’s Fireworks show hosted by Daggaroth, will begin in Umokka, outside the Caldari Navy Testing Facilities at Planet X, Moon 4.
This is the third year of the event’s existence. Last year’s event clocked in at around 500 people attending, with a further 116 following the Eve Radio live stream. EVE Radio will once again be streaming the event.
There will be a raffle event where winners could receive a Chimera or PLEX, and a participation prize of a Tier 3 battlecruiser – winner’s choice between the Oracle, Naga and Tornado.
Anyone interested in helping with the event should contact Daggaroth via EVE Mail.

Temporary POS fuel bay size change in Crucible 1.0.2 – news from EvE
Dec 13th
As the date of POS switchover has been moved to January 24 (please refer to this announcement by CCP Soundwave for more information), we will be temporarily doubling the size of POS fuel bays to reduce the impact of the delay to fuel block switch-over.
Please note that these changes will be reverted when fuel block consumption is enabled on January 24. Towers left with their fuel bays in an “overloaded” state as a result of this change should continue to function as normal.

EVE Online is a very complex place to call one's home. In our latest One Jump Home column, we explore the depths of the Drone Regions, the heart of the Russian empire in EVE: UAxDeath, and how one man turned the space into an industrial behemoth.
When CCP added the Drone Regions to EVE Online, the scuttle to acquire them can be said to have taken its time. With hundreds of systems full of mediocre moon minerals and NPCs that did not reward the player with flat ISK, but rather a large handful of mineral compounds – The community was perplexed at best. How were players supposed to survive in these regions? Who would fight to defend them? Who would care? Few bothered to answer that question, but one Russian man saw what the purpose of the space truly was: Industrialist nullsec heaven. That man is arguably one of the most famous men in EVE, that man is arguably one of the best Russian politicians in EVE. That man is UAxDeath.

EVE Online: CCP Fleet Mobilizing Christmas Caravan

Don't hesitate! The CCP fleet is mobilizing to escort valuable goods and CCP devs to the annual holiday party. EVE Online players might want to check the valuable intel that's being disseminated on the official forums and then ATTACK!

Edit2: Reports are coming in that the CCP Christmas caravan is mobilizing within the next hour and their destination seems to be somewhere in the Great Wildlands ! We strongly suggest you start gathering up your fleets and start heading in that direction!
Unusual emissions discovered – Polaris alleged point of origin – news from EvE

Deep space surveillance networks picked up unusual high band electromagnetic activity during the last few days from the general direction of the 9RW5-Z constellation. Scientists believe the Polaris system to be the center of these emissions after incorporating baseline interferometry across several regions. These emissions might indicate increased activity in the mysterious system during the upcoming weekend, or they might be just be bursts of random energy. Deep space intelligence experts are said to have picked up fragments of a secret code hidden within these emissions which could be deciphered as “cc.sup.lye.avan.”.
Several respectable research institutions discarded these conclusions as probably nothing more than artifacts from pink noise emissions or simply a clever scheme to fish for attention and research grants. Deep space explorers and adventures remain intrigued by the phenomena and monitoring continues on many fronts.
