EVE Online: Unified Inventory Detailed
May 3rd
The EVE Online blog has been updated with a new post discussing the upcoming unified inventory window. According to CCP Optimal and CCP Arrow, the necessity for multiple inventory windows was redundant. To solve the issue, a new unified "all in one" inventory will be deployed.
The most obvious change to the inventory is the new tree view, which automatically populates with all inventory locations accessible to you at a given point in time. As if that wasn’t a tough enough job, the tree view is also populated with any sub inventory location, so under your active ship you will see all bays present, under Ships you will see all your assembled ships and under Corporation you will see all the divisions accessible to you (the ones that you don’t have read access rights for are hidden). Oh, yeah, it also shows containers, effectively making them quite usable, as opposed to the biggest usability violators in the history of videogames. It should be obvious that you can now move items between inventory locations without opening the destination window; just drop it to the relative tree view entry instead. If you prefer, you can drag and hold an item over the tree view entry More >
EVE Online: Burn Jita Player Event
May 2nd
Jita is on fire and it is all the fault of EVE Online players who are looking to shake up the universe. The galaxy itself isn't on fire but all of the ships in the sector are as Jita is no longer a safe haven for trade.
"BURN JITA"
For several months now, a coalition of thousands of players have been planning the "Burn Jita" event, aimed at disrupting the biggest trade hub in game in order to wreak some terrific, universe-wide changes by shaking the very pillars of EVE's economy at its metaphorical heart.

EVE Online: The Silver Lining
Apr 30th
In today's One Jump Home, we don our tin foil hats and jump into the exciting world of EVE Online political machination. See what we've got to say and then weigh in with your own thoughts in the comments.
I've talked before about the cultural bonds that hold the CFC in place, having once been an Alliance CEO inside of the CFC myself, I witnessed the internal machinations of the power bloc first hand. For the most part, the bigger, badder, and meaner the Alliance that exists inside of the entity, the more sway they have. In reality, the CFC can be split in two: The Northern CFC, whose primary anchor is Goonswarm, and The Southern CFC, whose primary anchor is TEST ALLIANCE PLEASE IGNORE. Both 'core' Alliances have smaller Alliances which gravitate around them, though the political operation of the CFC does not necessarily mean that "Small = Insignificant".

EVE Online: Nine Glorious Years
Apr 30th
A new blog post has been published on the EVE Online site reminding players that May 6th marks the game's NINTH anniversary. The post takes a look at how far the game has come since those earliest of days.
SciFiMagically, each year brings more pilots living, warring, trading and socializing in the EVE universe than the year before. “SciFiMagically” because, well, that’s not really happening in other MMOs.
And later this year we’re adding some dudes on those planets around you—dudes that you will be able to shoot at. It’s like the biggest universe in gaming is going to get bigger without actually expanding? SciFiMagic.

Drone Regions Could Suffer Without Extracted Alloys – news from EvE
Apr 25th
The Drone Regions have undergone a dramatic reshaping as CONCORD begin issuing bounties upon the destruction of Rogue Drones. In line with this change, valuable extracted drone alloys are no longer available.
Zazhas, an officer within Ethereal Dawn [ED], believes that these changes will bring about “more co-operation” between miners and combat pilots. When it comes to manufacturing, he feels that while transport of goods can be problematic in null-sec, these changes may require a few more imports.
Syndic Naismith, a member of Broken Toys [FUHRD], believes that the changes will hurt budding industrial alliances that used the Drone Regions as an industrial hub for manufacturing, but also concedes that the amount of minerals made available by drone alloys did provide Drone Region industrialists with an unfair advantage.
While CONCORD pays bounties in line with the destruction of other null-sec pirates, combat pilots have pre-emptively commented that Rogue Drones apparently drop very little items of value and as such both industrial and combat pilots may struggle.
While alliances move in and out of null-sec space all the time, some entities such as Ethereal Dawn are there to stay and it is those that hope the Drone Regions will not become a mass wasteland of More >
