EVE Online: Finding a War in EVE Online
Aug 22nd
In his latest "One Jump Home" column, MMORPG.com's Ross McDermott, also a member of the Council of Stellar Management, has penned a new article about the adventure of finding war….and having a hard time doing it. Check out One Jump Home and then add your thoughts to the mix in the comments.
The technetium oligarchs built their shining homes on the backs of the humming plates of an orbital moon extractor. When the mineral shift came and the desire for technetium increased dramatically, they found their empires enriched even more than they were previously. In their grotesque arrogance they set about shaping the market to suit their own desires, controlling a precious resource that only they had access to. These were the economic foundations of the Northern Coalition. These were the minerals and resources that allowed them to grow fat, docile and indifferent to the threats at their doorstep.

We need at least 350 players to come out and test but 550 would be the ideal number for this test. Testing should last between 60 to 90 minutes and all participants will receive two million skillpoints on Singularity.

EVE Online: Incarna 1.1 Coming August 30th
Aug 19th
While most of the European CCP team is on holiday, the US team continues to battle lag and make plans for the release of the v1.1 EVE Online: Incarna patch on August 30th. In a new blog post, CCP Fallout gives a peek into the future for Incarna and what may be coming down the road.
It's a tradition: every time summer rolls around, Europeans take nice, long vacations. As an American, I tend to become overly amused by this; my Puritanical (pure tyrannical?) self cannot fathom the idea of taking three or four weeks off at a time, and secretly, I envy my co-workers, those lucky, loveable bastards!
Another tradition: during the summer months, EVE Online players become anxious for more news and information about their favorite game. Vacation time, for the average capsuleer, is EVE time. Capsuleers rarely take time off from flying around in space, pulling the latest, greatest, ever-larger scams, or engaging in massive fleet battles that make CCP Veritas salivate with glee.

EVE Online: Design Goals for Nullsec
Aug 15th
In the latest developer blog on the EVE Online site, CCP Greyscale continues the discussion of how the team is going about redesigning Nullsec. As the discussions got underway, the dev team met with the CSM to discuss exactly what the goals were for nullsec redevelopment.
The bulk of that blog was about defining things that should be true – in an ideal world – for everything that goes on in nullsec. That gives us a general framework to work within, but doesn't do a lot to explain where we're going with the different parts that make up nullsec today, and the things we'll be adding in the near future.
For this next bit, we had several brainstorming sessions, both internally and with the CSM, to define both what major areas of gameplay should exist in nullsec, and what the guiding principles for those individual areas or features should be. Again, we harvested the results, analyzed them, broke them down, built them up, and tried to pull them together into a unified vision of where we want to go. This all coalesced into a whiteboard covered in text, which I have reproduced below for your viewing pleasure.

EVE Online: Ponzi Scheme Biggest Scam in EVE Online History
Aug 13th
"Phaser Inc.", a small, four member corporation in EVE Online pulled off the largest ever Ponzi Scheme yesterday, netting the corporation, and its two primary members, Eddie Lampert and Mordur Exuel, a staggering 1.8 Trillion ISK (which translates to about $50,000 real-world USD).
Many of you high sec dwellers may have heard of the small four member corporation “Phaser Inc.” It’s two main members, Eddie Lampert and Mordor Exuel, could, up until today, be seen routinely in Jita and other high sec market hubs touting their immensely profitable investment bank in local (“Deposit an investment at Phaser Inc and receive 5% interest on weekly basis. Check www.phaserinc.com for all the details and to register for an account!”). Those days, however, have ended:
Haters gonna hate Today is the day many expected to come. Today, the 12th of August 2011, is the day where it all comes together. Phaser Inc. is done, over, finished.
After a stunning period of eight months, we decided it’s enough.
No more new accounts. No more mails. No more payout days. No more ISK.
No more Phaser Inc.
Most likely, this will cause a lot of questions. The most important question will be answered right here, right now. The ISK is gone; you More >
T.R.I.A.D Celebrates Capsuleer Reaching 10.00 Standing – news from EvE
Aug 13th
Molden Heath – Teonusude Republic Independent Agency Division [T.R.I.A.D] has announced that a capsuleer has reached the highest agency standing available.
Axl Borlara has been crowned the first capsuleer in the agency’s history to achieve the highest standing possible of 10.00, an achievement which T.R.I.A.D founder DeT Resprox, was very pleased to announce: “To reach 10.00 is an incredible achievement in itself and shows Axl Borlara’s dedication to the cause. Axl is now the proud owner of the first ever issued ’T.R.I.A.D Elite’ medal which is only awarded to those who have reached 10.00 agency standing.”
Axl described his feelings towards receiving the highest standing and what he did to achieve it: “I am somewhat surprised to say the least, but very proud of the achievement… The majority has been supply missions via the T.R.I.A.D market. The agency has its own fully functioning market. Capsuleers can sell items to the agency, gaining agency standing and loyalty points as well as the obvious ISK.”
When asked about capsuleer participation within T.R.I.A.D, DeT Resprox stated that “some campaigns can have up to 30 capsuleers involved. These campaigns can last several hours, days or even weeks depending on the objectives. In the past month, 137 missions have More >
Capsuleer Cloned by Sansha’s Nation – news from EvE
Aug 13th
Rasile – A week ago, another Sansha wormhole appeared in the Rasile system where capsuleers battled and defeated a Sansha Revenant piloted by Slave Tedra01, a name also recognised as an Interstellar Correspondent reporter.
In the week prior, ISD Tedra Kerrigan gained access to a private facility in the Stain region. There, she was allowed an exclusive one-on-one interview with Sansha Kuvakei to discuss the increased Sansha activity within New Eden. There is now evidence suggesting that before her return, she was cloned and her memory wiped.
Upon hearing the news of the battle against her Sansha clone, ISD Tedra Kerrigan was shocked. She entered Rasile and gave visual confirmation of her own clone. It was at this time she received an anonymous letter containing the unaltered transcript of her interview with Sansha Kuvakei.
During the battle, Slave Tedra01’s devoted cries “for Nation”, were met equally by capsuleer’s calls “for freedom”. This abduction seems to be yet another case of civilians and capsuleers being drawn, unwillingly or unknowingly, into Sansha’s ranks.

Sansha’s Nation Attacks Trade Routes – news from EvE
Aug 10th
New Caldari, The Forge – Sansha’s Nation forces have been assaulting trade routes throughout New Eden, disrupting both market hubs hubs and popular shipping routes. Over the past two weeks, Sansha’s Nation forces have attacked multiple solar systems including Kador Prime, New Caldari and Altrinur. It is their newfound interest in trade routes, however, that is causing concern among capsuleers. Capsuleer Ace Echo, who was present during the New Caldari attack, said “This recent rash of attacks seems to be part of Kuvakei’s plan to disrupt and destroy capsuleer resistance directly. Attacking the economic base of the galaxy is a sure way to grab attention and to do damage to the core of New Eden.” He went on to speak specifically about the New Caldari incursion. “This assault, close to a gate into Jita, was successful in taking out many neutral trading ships that were unsuspecting of the dangers at the gate.” He believed that a Nation attack in Jita itself would prove too difficult for a Nation force, however, drawing swift and powerful defence. Capsuleer Grideris, a combat pilot with an anti-sansha stance, also expressed a belief that Sansha’s Nation is focusing its attacks on trade routes. “I believe they More >
