Ninja, Ninjutsu and Martial Arts… Ninja-themed Games Recommended
Jul 13th
Japanese Ninja ( Shinobi ) is an indispensable character whether in games or in movies. Ninja was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, as well as open combat in certain situations. The ninja, using covert methods of waging war, were contrasted with the samurai, who had strict rules about honor and combat.
Ninjutsu is the martial art, strategy and tactics of unconventional warfare and guerrilla warfare as well as the art of espionage purportedly practiced by ninja. There must be lots of fans of ninja like this: they appreciate the ninja spirit, they are attracted by Ninjutsu, they are dreaming of being a ninja… However, they can not achieve all these because the limitation of family or work. Hi5 Raises $14M as It Shifts Into Social Games and Virtual Goods
Jul 13th
Social network Hi5 said today it has raised $14 million in a second round of funding as it tries to shift into social games and virtual goods.
Facebook has grown far faster than Hi5, with approximately 10 times more users. To deal with that, Hi5 hired gaming pioneer Alex St. John (pictured) as its president last fall and continued a deliberate expansion into social games. The company is making free-to-play games that users start playing for free, but they pay real money for virtual goods such as decorations.
Hi5 doesn’t have much of a chance of unseating Facebook in social games, but it might have a good chance to set itself up as a diversification opportunity for social game companies that don’t want to be entirely dependent on Facebook.
The round was led by Crosslink Capital and it included Mohr Davidow Ventures. To date, Hi5 has raised $34 million. That’s no small chunk of change, but it’s a pittance compared to what Facebook has raised. Jim Feuille, general partner at Crosslink, will join Hi5’s board.
San Francisco-based Hi5 still has tens of millions of users and much of its fan base is overseas; it ranks as one of the world’s top 20 web sites. In December, 2008 More >

My God, Today I Really Know How to Fight
Jul 12th
This is an absolutely classical game, all my friends having played World of Lordcraft told me so. Frankly, I used to have little interest in web games. Because mostly I like playing MMORPG and sniff at web games. But I am deeply fascinated with World of Lordcraft. I am a big fan of World of Warcraft, and have played many classes. Due to my busy work and long wait before gaining those sets in WoW, I have to quit my favorite game.
However, the launch of World of Lordcraft is a piece of good news for those players who are keen on World of Warcraft but only with limited time to play. In your office or at home, we can play game on web page instead of installing software in our computer so as to be absent without leave and kill time.
The user interface of World of Lordcraft is easy to handle. Once loading into the game, you seem to be in an ancient magic world. You will experience different battlefields, witnessing conflicts and wars between Human and Orc, as well as the Alliance and the Horde. And as a lord of a castle, you can give orders to command battles between your More >
