Winter Solstice Anniversary Event 2012 – Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Vanguard’s 5th Anniversary celebration will start January 21, 2012. The Winter Solstice returns to Telon so make sure you visit Edric Nichols in the courtyards of New Targonor.
The Community Team will also be hosting an anniversary party on the Telon server Sunday January 29th, 2012 starting at 10:00 am pst. Stop by the Ahgram outskirts to visit and pick up some goodies.
Thank you to all the wonderful players who help make the world of Telon the exciting, challenging and fun world that it is! Your dedication and contributions to Vanguard and its community are invaluable.
City of Heroes: Update 22: Death Incarnate Coming Soon

Paragon Studios and NCSoft have announced that City of Heroes will be updated soon with the "Death Incarnate" update. Death Incarnate comes with a ton of new content including new powers, new costumes, new VIP content, and new end game trials.
For players level 50+, the Dark Astoria zone will provide a lot of fun as the players work cooperatively through the spooky area.
Controllers and Dominators will revel in the new Darkness Power Set. With Darkness Powers, players can summon shadows and other spectral minions to do their dirty work.

On Thursday, January 5, 2012 we have two great webcasts for you: Sound and Music of Free Realms and DC Universe Online Research and Development.
First up, at 4pm, we have Sound and Music of Free Realms. Music and ambient sounds in Free Realms are part of what makes the game such a magical place! Sound Designer Mark MacBride and Audio Director Rodney Gates are back by request to talk about what goes into making your world sound so great! Your host Linda “Brasse” Carlson will chat with them about what goes into making the audio for Free Realms. We will collect some of your questions on the Free Realms forums and Facebook page prior to the show.
Then at 4:30 pm join members of the DC Universe Online development team as they discuss Game Update 8 and reveal details about Research and Development. How will the system work and what benefits will players see? Stop by this week to find out!

Twighlyte Song’s Fishing Tournament! – Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

On Sunday December 18th from 1200-1600 EST(GMT-5) Twighlyte Song will be hosting their Fishing contest on Telon.
Prizes will be coin! 2 platinum for first place, 1 platinum for second, 75 gold for third, 50 gold for 4th, and 25 gold for fifth. So dust off your fishing gear and join in! Twighlyte Song is hosting this event but some of the prizes have been donated by other guilds or people outside of the guild. Join the events channel the day of the event if you want to participate. The contest fish will be announced in that channel. All winners will be expected to meet to receive their prize.

City of Heroes: The Statesman Will Fall

Seven years of protection is a long time. In City of Heroes, the job of protecting the citizens of Paragon City has fallen to Statesman but his days are numbered. Paragon Studios has announced that in the continuation of the Signature Story Arc that will go live next month, Statesman will meet his match "on the field of battle".
Episode 5 of the Story Arc will be free to VIP players and others who wish to participate in the unraveling of epic events can purchase this and preceding episodes in the Paragon Market.
