Entropia Universe: MindArk Interview
Jan 28th
Entropia Universe is developed by MindArk and is a huge hit with many MMO players. We had the opportunity to chat with MindArk CEO David Simmonds about all things Entropia. Read on and then leave us your thoughts in the comments.
MMORPG: With the introduction of planet partners a great variety of themes became available with a rock-music world on Rocktropia, time travel on next island, a treasure-hunting theme on Arkadia and several more in the making. What are the criteria for planet partners to be allowed a place in Entropia Universe?
DAVID SIMMONDS: A new Planet Partner must first submit a concept for their planet and a full budget for development and marketing, this is reviewed and considered by our development and management teams as a viable addition to the Entropia Universe. Once this part has been approved we can then start the Due Diligence to determine the financial stability of the company to be able to fulfill the Planet Partner Agreement.

Legend: Legacy of the Dragons has unveiled new PvP features
Jan 27th
Mail.Ru Games has unveiled some new PvP features for its free-to-play browser game Legend: Legacy of the Dragons. From today, UK players will have the opportunity to pit their strength against gamers from all over Europe on new Inter-Server Battlefields.
Since time immemorial, the Magmars and Humans have fought against each other. Whats more; the grotesque armies of Chaos are flooding the land and preventing either of the parties from getting a moments rest. There are three classes in the game Bonecrushers, Heavyweights and Dodgers, as well as nine freely selectable professions which leave enough room for customized role-playing. The world of Faeo offers a world full of dangers, myths, legends and mysteries that are waiting to be discovered and experienced.
Its because of the continuing popularity of these fights that Mail.Ru Games is now introducing the new Inter-Server Battlefield feature: Since the release of Legend three years ago, our steadily growing community proves that we are on the right track with our game development. In particular, the simultaneous battles of up to 500 players are immensely popular, said Ilya Mamontov, CEO of Mail.Ru Games. For this reason we have decided to offer players the option of fighting on other servers.

Lord of the Rings Online: Screenshot of the Week: LOTRO Edition: Winner’s Announcement
Jan 27th
We've pored over your many awesome LOTRO screenshots for this week's "Screenshot of the Week," and today we're excited to announce the winning entry!
Congratulations to Shuurei, this week's Screenshot of the Week winner!
The winning screenshot and dits' accompanying description can be found below:
"Fun contest I have a lot of the usual pretty scenic background / epic boss pictures of course. But my favorite screenshot is actually just of my little hobbit guardian while adventuring in Enedwaith.
A courageous fiery redheaded hobbit guardian vs the very evil and quite angry Ox, Longhorn. Can she teach this jerk a lesson?"
LOTRO is clearly a beautiful game and we received tons of great scenic shots — but the above was simply too awesome to not honor with tihs week's prize. I'm pretty sure that Ox has some sort of eye-laser thing going on.
This week's winner snagged herself a 1,000 Turbine Points code (for use with LOTRO in-game store). Be sure to check back next Monday for a chance to win more awesome prizes!
TERA: En Masse Responds to NCSoft Lawsuit
Jan 27th
After originally stating that En Masse would refrain from commentary regarding the TERA lawsuit filed by NCSoft, Publishing Vice President Chris Lee has been quoted on the official forums summarily dismissing the allegations…and saying that the company would refrain from further commentary.
"We are disappointed that NCsoft is attempting to mar the launch of TERA. Unfortunately we can't discuss much publicly due to the sensitivity of legal actions, but we do outright reject the NCsoft claims, and we are going to do everything in our power to defend and protect ourselves.
To all our supporters who have been anticipating the arrival of TERA – please know that this situation has no impact on our continuing efforts to realize the vision we have for our game. We are committed to making TERA awesome and delivering the game to you on time on May 1. Thank you for your patience and support."

Wurm Online: The Official Wurm Review
Jan 26th
Wurm Online is a game that hearkens back to the "good old days of MMOs" so much so, in fact, that players are clawed, mauled and otherwise brutalized. Success is success however and hard fought brings pride. But is Wurm Online fun? Find out in our official review!
Wurm Online is a throwback MMO that harkens to the days of the MUSH and the true sandbox environment. The world is mutable, the experience is entirely player-driven, and it is unashamedly unforgiving. Given the calibre and passion of a number of messages on this website, it might just be the perfect game for a number of you – that is if you can survive a savage butt-whipping by a disgruntled rabbit.

Diablo 3: Companion & Reforging Scrolls Removed
Jan 26th
The Diablo III blog has been updated with a short post indicating that both Companion and Reforging scrolls have been removed from the beta version of the game. According to the team, the systems were underdeveloped and can be reworked into something cool.
Neither of those are issues we felt like we could solve without a lot of additional work, and we’re trying to close in on a solid release date for the game, not move further away. When weighing these systems against releasing the game, we decided to cut these scrolls and stay on track for the game’s release.
