Neverwinter: Caturday Survivor Pack Revealed
May 21st
Perfect World and Cryptic Studios have revealed the "Caturday Survivor Pack" gift that players will receive in compensation for this past weekend's Astral Diamond exploit. The package is filled with useful and interesting items including a Stone of Health, a Dwarven Mask and much more.
Case in point: this past weekend, the Neverwinter community helped us to identify a major exploit involving the Auction House and Astral Diamond Exchange, which we promptly addressed through a number of corrective actions, including permanent bans on exploitative accounts and a necessary rollback to the time before the exploit was initiated. We realize the frustration that the rollback and related downtime may have caused and are deeply sorry for this inconvenience. We’re also overwhelmed by your positive support and patience during the downtime, as well as your assistance in identifying the issue and helping us to develop and implement a solution as quickly as possible.
We’d like to thank you in the best way possible: by giving you some fun free stuff in-game to recognize your support throughout the Neverwinter Open Beta period.
Check out the full details on the Neverwinter site.

Wargaming has revealed some of the big changes coming to World of Tanks with the next update. Artillery will feel more balanced to players after the update, something they have been asking about for a long while.
Current tier 8 SPGs will be promoted to tier X, while the newly introduced SPGs in Update 8.6 will take their place in the middle tiers. WildStar: Exclusive Press Tour presentation
May 21st
We attended an exclusive Press Tour of WildStar, the new the tongue-in-cheek MMORPG from Carbine that is filled to the brim with bad guys, bombs and badassary.
The Carbine team gave us a presentation highlighting some features old and new along with a more in-depth look at two of the games career Paths; Settler and Scientist.
Wildstar shows two new paths in action
May 21st
Wildstar showed at its recent Press Tour event, these two new paths in action: Settler and Scientist.
SETTLER - Settlers can build structures and buildings, such as vendors, mail boxes, banks or outposts.
- Expansion: That town ain’t going to improve itself. So step up, strap on a toolbelt, and get to work building things that make everyone’s life a little easier.
- Infrastructure: Are you ready for some serious real estate development? Then do your civic duty and build hospitals, taverns, and spaceports for your friends and allies.
- Supply Cache: Who has time to sit around and wait for vital supplies to show up on a platter? Put on those boots and bring home the bacon!
- Public service: Some people just don’t have the grit and backbone to get the job done. Good thing you do. Achieve tasks for the greater good, and get rewarded for it.
- Civil defense: Town guards can handle the small stuff. But when the biggest, meanest monsters on Nexus come a-knockin’, you’ll step up and save the day!
SCIENTIST – The Scientist path is focused on scanning areas to learn about the world and its history.
- Analysis: Time to put that big brain of yours to work! More >

Elder Scrolls Online: On Cyrodiil as World PvP
May 20th
The Elder Scrolls Online team has made some interesting decisions when it comes to the game's PvP content. In our latest ESO column, we take a look at the pros and cons of those decisions. See if you agree (or disagree) with our thinking before joining the discussion in the comments.
As I said above, I’m pretty excited that a lot of the folks who once worked on Dark Age of Camelot’s RvR are heading up the team working on Elder Scrolls Online AvA. Brian Wheeler was one of the ingredients that made the magic happen in DAOC. He was also part of the WAR team, but we can’t put that game’s failings on one man’s shoulders, so we’ll just sidestep it and chalk it up as a learning process. At least we know ESO will have three factions as opposed to the inherently broken two.

Star Trek Online: Daniel Stahl Talks Legacy of Romulus
May 20th
Today is a big for Star Trek Online with the release of the Legacy of Romulus expansion. We managed to catch up to Daniel Stahl to talk more about LoR and it's an interview you won't want to miss. Check it out before heading to the comments to weigh in on the discussion.
MMORPG.com: How will the expansion affect the Foundry, if at all?
Daniel Stahl: This update has very little impact on the Foundry other than it opens the door for future updates where Foundry authors will be able to create mission designed exclusively for Romulan characters. We will be updating the Foundry later this year with this ability along with other Romulan assets.
