DUST 514: Launch Day Celebrated with New Packs

CCP Games has announced that new Mercenary, Veteran and Elite packs will be available to DUST514 players to mark today's official launch. Each pack contains a variety of in-game items and perks and can be purchased in $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99 versions.
Stock up on weapons, armor, mods, boosters, and more with the Mercenary, Veteran, and Elite Packs available when DUST 514 launches on 14 May.
We’ve revamped the Mercenary Pack to include new items, and the previous Merc Pack items will become available for individual purchase on the in-game market.
Mercs looking for an even bigger arsenal should invest in the Veteran Pack, containing both active and passive boosters, a sleek Light Attack Vehicle, and over 200 consumables.
Finally, consider the Elite Pack for the ultimate in premium destruction. You'll get two months each of passive and active skill supercharge, four weapons and the entire line of Dren dropsuits to keep, and 50 copies each of three different devastating heavy vehicles.

War Thunder: Coming to PS4 In Time for the Holidays

Gaijin Entertainment has announced that War Thunder is headed to PlayStation 4 in time for the winter holidays. Gaijin is currently working to optimize War Thunder for the PS4 to take advantage of its next gen features.
“We're convinced that our cooperation with Sony will not only make the War Thunder franchise better, but it will give our fans a new level of gaming experience that will figuratively blown their mind,” said Gaijin Entertainment’s Creative Director Kirill Yudintsev. “Partnering with Sony Computer Entertainment is the most natural progression for the War Thunder brand, from our hugely successful beginnings on PC with more than 1.5 million players, to our recent announcement that War Thunder is under development for mobile devices. We are excited to bring War Thunder to the leading next-generation platform, the PS4.”

Defiance: Rynn Leaves the Show To Enter the Game

If you’ve been watching the Syfy show "Defiance", you are aware that Rynn has escaped. For now, she will not be seen on the show. However, players of Trion Worlds’ Defiance will be able to defeat the Hellbug swarm in an effort to return Rynn to the show. Developers are calling this a true transmedia event.

Diablo III was hit with yet another exploit this week as players discovered a way to duplicate gold via a bug in the auction house. Blizzard responded by shutting down the auction house but did not perform a server rollback to reverse the damage. Path of Exile also released a new Letters of Wraeclast lore feature in its latest update.
Controversy hit the Diablo III community this week as a gold-duplicating exploit was discovered on the auction house. The exploit involved cancelling a bid on an auction within its final seconds, which returned the gold immediately and then returned it again when the auction ended. It’s not known how long this exploit has been in the game, but details of it went public this week and threw the game economy into chaos. Prices on good items were massively inflated and gold was rapidly devalued before Blizzard took the auction house down.
Rather than perform a server rollback, Blizzard decided to audit all transactions on the auction house in order to find those abusing the exploit. DCUO has launched today Origin Crisis

DC Universe Online has launched today Origin Crisis its seventh downloadable content pack.
In this DLC pack, new high-level multiplayer and solo adventures will send players through alternate realities as they amend or alter the origins of their favorite Heroes and Villains. Origin Crisis will also introduce Quantum, a newe power set that allow players to alter time and space as they battle foes.
In Origin Crisis the space/time continuum has been compromised, and thoughBrainiac has been defeated, war wages on.
Players must battle through new Raids and Operations and fight alongside Future Batman or Future Lex Luthor in order to shift the balance of destiny for Heroes and Villains forever. The two will summon their forces in an attempt to modify fundamental events in the histories of iconic characters and transform their futures. As the story unfolds, players gain access to an assortment of new multiplayer adventures and solo simulations.

Interview to Neverwinter’s Lead Producer

We had the chance to interview Neverwinter’s Lead Producer Andy Velasquez about the state of the game; where they are at and where they are heading.
In it he speaks openly about how feedback from the fans is changing the game directly from problems with the Auction House system, to negative feedback with the Great Weapon Fighter and how they will continue to roll out new features with their Foundry system.
RIFT goes free-to-play!

RIFT is going to adopt a free-to-play business model starting June 12, 2013. Players will be able to experience the entire game world; every dungeon, every zone, and every level and get full access to all current and future game updates.
All players will be able to explore the entire world of Telara for free and will have access to the expanded in-game RIFT Store where a variety of services–mounts, boosts, wardrobe items, and more–will be available for purchase. An optional subscription will still be available that grants a slew of Patron benefits and bonuses to maximize the RIFT experience. Trion will celebrate its current and previous subscribers with loyalty and currency rewards for their time spent playing RIFT thus far.
RIFT free-to-play kicks off with massive content update 2.3, Empyreal Assault, which will open up an unforgettable new zone, world event, chronicle and much more. Empyreal Assault launches on June 12th, 2013 for all Ascended of Telara.
