Star Trek Online: Yamaguchi and K

Cryptic Studios has announced that beginning February 14th, Yamaguchi and K’maj fleet ships will be available for players that have acquired a Tier 3 Shipyard, and will cost 20,000 Fleet Credits and five Fleet Modules to obtain.
The Yamaguchi variant of the Ambassador Class Cruiser has been specifically designed to support your Fleet. Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength and an additional Console slot. In comparison to its non-Fleet counterpart, it boasts a Lieutenant Universal station, in lieu of a Lieutenant Engineering station, and an additional Science Console slot.

Wizard101: Now Available for Mac

KingsIsle has announced that its debut title, Wizard101, is now available for Mac users. Mac users can now download the client and begin their journey in the Spiral.
“Over the last four years more than 30 million users have registered to play Wizard101 on the PC,” said Josef Hall, vice president of Development at KingsIsle Entertainment. “Today we are very pleased to open up the Wizard101 universe to millions of Mac users.”

World of Tanks: Wargaming.net League Announced

World of Tanks players have a new eSports league in which to participate thanks the announcement that the Wargaming.net League has arrived. The league will kick off in the first quarter of 2013 and will follow 'traditional' eSports bracketing tournaments, ultimately leading to a $2.5M prize pool.
"The scale and popularity of competitive gaming has been skyrocketing over the last couple of years, and we have now reached the point where we can focus significant effort on advancing World of Tanks on to the global eSports scene," said Wargaming Global eSports Director Jonghyuk Baak. "Wargaming.net League is a groundbreaking step in our quest to bring the game's eSports potential into the international spotlight."
The newly announced Wargaming.net League will help to bridge the gap between the World of Tanks' gaming communities, previously separated by geographic boundaries, and unite them into a tight-knit global eSports entity.

Camelot Unchained: No Hand Holding Allowed

The latest developer blog has shown up on the Camelot Unchained site. In it, the team reveals that they do not believe 'hand holding' of their players is required. It's an interesting look at what the team has in mind as compared to the vast majority of today's MMOs.
As an independent developer of a lower-budget, lower subscription target MMORPG (using today’s inflated scale), we retain more than our fair measure of creative freedom that I wouldn’t trade for a larger budget and longer development timeline (been there, done that). I want the freedom to take some risks with this game without enduring sleepless nights as I worry about whether a feature (or lack thereof) will alienate too many players, anger the boss, piss off the investors, etc. I like waking up thinking “This is a really freaking cool idea let’s try it!” or “Wasn’t it cool when you were wandering around in the dark not knowing what might jump out at you?” rather than having to endure conversations like “Mark, if we do this we can sell-in another 100K boxes.” We need to look at the evolution of these games and see what features (or again, lack thereof) made older More >

The exclusive Assassins Creed items include:
- 5 new Recon class apparel items : The signature Assassins Creed Hood and 4 variants of body armor – 6 new weapons straight from the weapon racks of Abstergo Industries private security forces (F2000 SP AC, Fiveseven AC, MG36 KV AC, P90 C AC, Sentinel SR-1 AC, Pentagun SP AC). These firearms boast superior accuracy and improved recoil control systems.
These items are purchasable with either Requisition Points (In-game points) or Ghost Coins (In-game currency). Bundles with savings of up to 15% are also available and all come with an exclusive avatar. All items will be available from February 11th to March 1st in the Ghost Recon Online in-game shop.

Wargaming.net has announced the start a Wargaming.net League for World of Tanks. With this Wargaming makes a major step toward the eSports world, aspiring to become a key player in the competitive gaming industry.
The new league will begin in the first quarter of 2013 and will adopt the format of traditional competitive games, with regular regional tournaments that will lead to a Grand Finale. The season of 2013, will offer $2.5 million prize pool.
World of Tanks successfully debuted as the eSports discipline at the WCG 2012 Grand Finals in Kunshan, China, and has since continued to garner interest from competitive gaming communities worldwide.
