Warhammer Online: Version 1.4.1 – 03/01/2011
Feb 28th
Greetings!
We will be bringing all North American and European servers offline tomorrow, March 1st 2011, at 7:30 AM EST (13:30 CET) for the deployment of Game Update 1.4.1. At this time we anticipate that all servers will be back online no later than 1:00 PM EST (19:00 CET).
Highlights of 1.4.1 include:
Claim WindowWith the popularity of account entitlements, we‘ve decided to improve the in-game delivery method of items associated with said entitlements. Whether you have the plethora of items that came with the Collector’s edition or an adorable vanity pet, we wanted to make it easier to claim your items! What this means is that item delivery for new characters or purchases will no longer go through in-game email. Instead a new Claim Window interface has been added that can be accessed via /claim or via the Account Entitlements button on the Main Menu. All of your items will be accessible in this new window and can be claimed at any time. No more expiring emails!
Armor Set ChangesThe Renown Rank and level requirements for several item sets have been reduced to allow players to use them sooner in their careers. With the new ranks for the above sets, a new armor More >

Warhammer Online: Issues with Guild Transfers?
Feb 11th
Greetings,
In case you weren’t aware of the correct procedure how to transfer a guild (which is described in our previous post), we offer this guide to facilitate your appeal.
Please follow these instructions if you did NOT run the /transferguild command before transferring your guild leader character.
- Immediately file an appeal with In-Game Support from the character that was the guild leader on your old server with the following basic information:
-Former server name-Former server guild name-Former server guild leader name (this is especially important if you had to change the character’s name during the transfer process)-The date that you transferred your character-Have you formed a new guild yet on your new server? If so, what is the name of the new guild?-Specify that you neglected to run the command and that is why you are appealing for a manual transfer.-Categorize your appeal as a ’Guild Issue.’
- The above information will greatly expedite the turnaround time in the processing of your manual transfer request. Also, please be advised that ONLY the character who was the guild leader can file this appeal; we are unable to assist or address this issue in a third party manner. Please advise your guild members not to appeal More >
Warhammer Online: How to Transfer a Guild
Feb 10th
Greetings,
We received some questions about guild transfers and would like to give you a reminder how to transfer a guild. This can be found in our transfer faq, too.
Guild Leaders – PLEASE READ!
You must follow the below instructions before transferring your character that is the Guild Leader. Otherwise your guild will be leaderless and no one can issue the command until the Auto Promote system kicks in 30+ days later.
Using /TransferGuild
All current guild members including you will be removed from the guild and the guild will be deleted. All claimed keeps, calendar events, and guild vault contents will be deleted. Your guild Rank and guild Renown will be saved to this character, and the next guild you create on your new server with this character will be created with the saved guild rank and renown. All previous guild settings will be reset, and you will be able to choose a new guild name, guild tactics, and guild heraldry.
Please be sure to move any items or coin that you do not wish to be deleted out of the guild vault and into your or another character’s bags before confirming the guild transfer in game.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: The Way Back Machine – WAR’s First Impression
Feb 5th
This week on The Way Back Machine, MMORPG.com's own writer Bill Murphy takes a look back on Managing Editor Jon Wood's initial impressions of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning from August 20th, 2008.
It wasn't long ago that Mythic's Warhammer Online was crowned as a potential "messiah" for online gamers sick of the WoW phenomenon. We had a lot of coverage on WAR leading up to its launch, but none are perhaps as indicative of how the game eventually turned out as our First Impressions by Jon Wood back in August of 2008. Really, it's first impressions that wind up holding the most sway on a player, and this preview is a good example of how WAR was seeming so strong a title from the outset.
