Warhammer Online: New European Community Manager
Feb 4th
Greetings,My name is Kai Schober, also known as Sterntaler to some of the European players, and I am happy to restart an old job in a new environment so to speak.
I started as a German Community Manager for Dark Age of Camelot in 2002 shortly after the European release – at that time in Paris working for GOA, the former French distributor for Europe. In that position I have been around through all expansions – from Shrouded Isles to Labyrinth of the Minotaur –helping, playing, doing events, or presenting the game to the players and the media at conventions and other occasions. When GOA prepared to launch of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning in 2007, I moved to Dublin and there became Head of Community Management to coordinate the European communication along with Mythic. At the end of 2009 as a result of the downsizing of GOA I took a timeout from the gaming world and spent one year in Gibraltar as a community team leader for a poker school. By a rather spontaneous idea that came up late last year I am now given the opportunity to work directly for Mythic. Now I’ve spent the last few days trying to get More >

Feb 4th
A new post has shown up on the Warhammer Herald explaining server mergers and transfers hot on the heels of last week's announcement that Warhammer Online developers would be merging several servers to "maintain an active and competitive environment". The dev team has posted specific information on how transfers will occur for both North American and European servers.
The game play experience of our customers is something we highly value. We donât make changes like this lightly. A lot of metrics and analysis accompanies this type of decision. We feel that these changes will help to ensure that server options continue to facilitate that best RvR experience out there. Thanks for playing and see you on the battlefield!

In setting up this year, we took a look at what we accomplished last year and what remained on our ‘to-do’ or wish lists. These are gathered internally and from feedback that we gather all year long. We then plotted those out with our normal patch cycle in mind.
The actual numbered patches for this year (1.4.1, 1.4.2 …) will follow a similar cadence to last year. Our first patch for the year (1.4.1) will be a smaller version dedicated to bug fixes and a More >

Warhammer Online: Hot Fixes – 1/13/2011
Jan 13th
Greetings! The following Hot Fixes were implemented during today’s maintenance:Realm vs. RealmOpen RvR
- A new version of the “Idle Hands” buff has been implemented in Open RvR. Once a player has been flagged as “Away from Keyboard” (or AFK) an invisible debuff will be applied and any Play as Skaven buff will be removed. Upon being flagged as AFK players will find that their Renown, experience and coin gain has been reduced by 100%, teleporting the player to their Realm’s Warcamp at the 5 minute mark.
As a result of these changes the global AFK flag has now been reduced to 2 minutes.
ItemsRvR Weapons
- The Emblem and Insignia cost for RvR weapons with a Renown Rank requirement of 75 and below has been significantly reduced. Please visit the Insignia Quartermaster in Altdorf or The Inevitable City to see these new lower prices.
Combat and Careers
- Trivial Blows: This Renown Ability will now function correctly, regardless of attack type.
